Welcome to Atami – a holiday Onsen Town located in Shizuoka, Japan. In this walking video tour, we will see Atami’s most famous streets and sights, such as Atami Station, Atami Ekimae Shōtengai, Heiwa dōri Shōtengai, Atami Nakamise-dori, Atami Ginza Shōtengai and also Itokawa Promenade. This walking tour coincides with the blossom of Atamizakura, Atami specific bread of Sakura cherry blossoms, that blooms in early February. So in this video we will also see the first cherry blossom matsuri, while walking along picturesque Itokawa River Promenade in the centre of Atami.
Atami is famous seaside hot springs town located south of Tokyo. Atami onsen and hot springs are not the only attraction that draws tourists and locals alike, this Japanese town is also famous for having blossoming Atamizakura, which is a bread of Japanese cherry – and is called Atami Sakura. Atami zakura is usually bloosoms at the end of January – beginning of February.
