Today, we’re embarking on a journey to explore twoĀ of Bali’s hidden treasures ā Blue Point Beach andĀ Ā Padang Padang Beach, both nestled in theĀ enchanting Uluwatu region. In this video,Ā Ā we spill all the important tips forĀ checking out these awesome beaches,Ā Ā
What to expect and the best way to getĀ there using the coolest transportation.Ā Let’s kick things off with the captivatingĀ Blue Point Beach, also known as Suluban BeachĀ Ā in Uluwatu. First things first, when is theĀ best time to visit Suluban Beach? Aim for lowĀ Ā
Tide ā it reveals more sandy beach spaces, makingĀ it easier to explore the cave and discover smallĀ Ā rock openings leading to Hidden Beach. At highĀ tide not only does much of the beach disappear,Ā Ā you will also find it difficult getting throughĀ the cave. If you can’t time it during low tide,Ā Ā
Consider an early morning visit before the middayĀ sun kicks in. This way, you’ll have a few peacefulĀ Ā hours on the beach before it gets crowded. Once you arrive, there’s a parking lot atĀ Ā the top of Uluwatu Cliff. From there, it’s aboutĀ a 10-minute walk down a set of concrete stairs,Ā Ā
Surrounded by clifftop bars, cafes,Ā souvenir stores, and surfboard rentalĀ Ā shops. Treat yourself to a light snack andĀ a cold Bintang at one of the cafes ā they’reĀ Ā affordable and provide a great view. And trustĀ me, once you catch sight of Blue Point Beach,Ā Ā
You won’t be able to resist stopping for a minute. As you make your way down to Pantai Suluban,Ā Ā you’ll notice the famous Uluwatu surf break.Ā It’s truly a sight to behold. However, keep inĀ Ā mind that the beach isn’t the best for swimming orĀ sunbathing due to unpredictable waves in and outĀ Ā
Of the cave. But, as long as you use common senseĀ and assess the conditions, the cave is safe toĀ Ā explore. Once you’ve had a bite to eat and drink,Ā continue down the Uluwatu cliff to Suluban Cave.Ā If you’re looking for a more ideal spot forĀ swimming, make your way through the cave toĀ Ā
Discover Hidden Beach. It’s my personal favoriteĀ on the entire Bukit Peninsula. Perch up on theĀ Ā sand, soak up the sun, and take a refreshingĀ dip to cool off. Keep an eye out for remnantsĀ Ā of a wooden boat at the foot of Uluwatu Cliff onĀ the southern end of Hidden Beach ā a testamentĀ Ā
To the hidden treasures this place holds. Now, let’s switch gears to Padang Padang Beach,Ā Ā also known as Pantai Labuan Sait. This stunningĀ surf spot on the Bukit Peninsula is a must-visitĀ Ā destination for beach lovers apart from Blue PointĀ Beach. Nestled on the southwest coastline of theĀ Ā
Bukit Peninsula, Padang Padang Beach boasts a oneĀ hundred meter-long stretch of fine white sand.Ā Ā Accessible through a unique hollow rock entrance,Ā the beach is surrounded by exotic rock caves,Ā Ā tidal swimming pools, and secluded beaches.Ā And did I mention the world-class waves?Ā
This beach is not only a paradise for surfersĀ but also a regular host for internationalĀ Ā surfing events, with the Rip Curl Cup PadangĀ Padang being the most frequent. Fun fact:Ā Ā it even played a romantic role in the 2010Ā big-screen adaptation of ‘Eat, Pray, Love.’Ā
Now, before you hit the sand, be preparedĀ to pay an entrance fee of 10,000 IndonesianĀ Ā Rupiah per person. Cash is essential, soĀ make sure to have some small bills on hand.Ā As you make your way down the narrow staircaseĀ through the limestone cave, be cautious ofĀ Ā
The mischievous monkeys that might snatch yourĀ belongings. But trust me, the breathtaking viewĀ Ā awaiting you at the bottom is totally worth it! The best time to visit Padang Padang Beach isĀ Ā all year round, especially during the sunniestĀ and driest months from April to October. WhetherĀ Ā
You’re into surfing, swimming, or just soaking upĀ the sun, this beach has something for everyone.Ā During low tide, explore the natural rockĀ formations around the foot of Padang PadangĀ Ā Bali cliffs, offering excellent photoĀ opportunities and secluded beaches.Ā
With its great waves and a white sandy stretchĀ that extends 100 meters from north to south,Ā Ā Padang Padang Beach is a surfers’ paradise.Ā The best time for surfing is during the dryĀ Ā season from June to September,Ā although April, May, and OctoberĀ Ā
Also provide good waves with fewer surfers. Now, let’s talk about how to get to theseĀ Ā two picturesque spots. If you’re staying in theĀ Uluwatu region, renting a scooter is a convenientĀ Ā option. If you’re coming from Kuta, Seminyak, orĀ Canggu, expect a 1 to 1 and half hour journey. IfĀ Ā
You’re not comfortable on a scooter, considerĀ hiring a private car and a driver for the day.Ā That’s what we did! We hired a driver for aĀ day to check out these two awesome beachesĀ Ā and Uluwatu Temple. Finally, the driver droppedĀ us off at our place near Seminyak. It’s a greatĀ Ā
Move because we didn’t have to stress about notĀ getting a taxi during rush hours and could chillĀ Ā at the beaches as long as we wanted. You can findĀ the info about the driver we’ve known for yearsĀ Ā in the description below or in our free BaliĀ travel plan. We’re dropping this travel planĀ Ā
For free in the final video of our Bali trip.Ā Check out these two videos on Uluwatu TempleĀ Ā and how we saved money and time planning ourĀ Bali trip! Catch you at the next Bali hotspot!
