Hello everyone. This time we will be walking around Kyoto again. This time we will visit “Nishi Honganji”. This is Horikawa Street. It is about a 15 minute walk from Kyoto Station. Now let’s walk to Nishi Honganji. This is a map of the surrounding area. This is “Koshoji Temple”.

It is a temple adjacent to Nishi Honganji. It’s a very impressive scenery. On this day, a “Goshokiho Onkohouyo” is held at Nishi Honganji Temple. The flags are lined up. Nishi Honganji is a temple that is also registered as a World Heritage Site.

Officially, it is simply called “Honganji,” but to distinguish it from Higashi Honganji, it is called Nishi Honganji. This is “Mieidomon Gate”. The building in front of you is Mieido Hall. It’s a very large building. This is “Amida-do Hall”. After this, I think I’ll take a walk around the temple.
