3 nights and 4 days trip to Okinawa Trip #1 to enjoy Okinawa in winter. Kobe airport. Today I arrived at Kobe Airport for a trip to Okinawa. This is my first time going to Okinawa in winter. I’m looking forward to seeing what it looks like (^^).

I usually use JAL, but this time I will go with Skymark. Skymark allows you to stay in Okinawa longer. Then we will head to the security checkpoint. The boarding gate is right after you go through the security checkpoint. This is a good thing about Kobe Airport (^^).

At this point, I’m wearing super warm clothes inside. What is it like in Okinawa? Boarding announcement. This time I made a reservation a long time ago, at the end of August. The round-trip cost was 13,580 yen, which was quite an exceptional value. 13580 yen.

Since the hotel is off-season, accommodation rates are also low. I booked a slightly luxurious hotel (^^). The first hotel I’ll be staying at has just opened. I was lucky to have an opening plan and was able to make a reservation at a low price (^^). What I’m most looking forward to.

This is the hotel where the last scene of the movie “Main Theme” was filmed. This is the itinerary of this trip. On the first day, relax and enjoy gourmet food in Naha. On the second day, we will visit scenic spots in the south.

On the third day, enjoy early blooming cherry blossoms and gourmet food near Nago. On the fourth day, we will enjoy the spectacular scenery and gourmet food in Uruma City. I’m looking forward to seeing how much I can enjoy Okinawa in winter (^^). Then we’re off to Okinawa! .

The flight to Naha Airport will take approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. Kit Kat. I got some coffee. It’s almost here! . arrival. Arrived on time. When I see this signboard, I feel like I’ve come to Okinawa (^^). The fish in the tank are also beautiful (^^).

I’m supposed to rent a car today. The company we will be looking after this time is J-Net Rent-A-Car. It’s hotter than I imagined. I want to get rid of the extreme heat as soon as possible… This is my first time using this service.

There are signs for each rental car, so it’s easy to understand. Good timing. It was just the right timing (^^). The shuttle bus runs every 20 to 30 minutes. J Net is close to the airport, so it takes about 10 minutes to get there. arrival. cool! ! .

This time it was Yaris Cross (^^). It’s been a very smooth process so far (^^). departure. From now on, I will go to Tamaudun. This is a place I didn’t get to see before because I didn’t have time. It’s about 17 minutes by car from here. arrival.

This is the parking lot right below Shuri Castle. The parking fee was 400 yen for 3 hours. After going to Tamaudun. There is a delicious Okinawa soba restaurant, so I will go there as well. From here, Tamaudun Mausoleum is about a 7 minute walk. We’re almost there. arrival.

This place was designated as a World Heritage Site in 2000. Admission fee is 300 yen for adults. That will be the ticket sales office. The first basement floor is a material exhibition room. Tamaudun is the mausoleum of the second royal family of the Ryukyu Kingdom during the Ryukyu period.

Let’s head towards the mausoleum. There is also a sacred atmosphere around here. Gajumaro and Fukugi are lined up. A splendid Gajumaroga. The gate is now in sight. The second gate is built at a different angle. It is said to be a talisman. Let’s go deeper. Go through the second gate.

There was a mausoleum that gave you a sense of history. It is said to be the oldest existing gable-shaped tomb in Okinawa. The gable type is a type of grave unique to Okinawa. It is said that this place was built with the motif of Shuri Castle’s main hall. It’s hard to understand.

There is a rare Shisa that stands upright. The parapets are decorated with lions, dragons, phoenixes, etc. What’s going on here? Was it used in some kind of ritual? Let’s go look around. Outside the gate of Tamaudun, there was an eastern guardhouse.

It is said that it was used as the king’s waiting room during memorial services. There is a tree with an interesting shape. For me, it was a highlight (^^). Next, let’s go see the exhibition room. It is located in the basement of the ticket office at the entrance to Tamaudun.

The exhibition room shows an overview of Tamaudun and the inside of Tamaudun. The exhibition is explained. Check out this exhibition description. I think it would be easier to understand if you went to see the mausoleum. I’m glad I was able to see Tamaudun, which was my dream (^^).

It’s better after seeing the exhibition room. I regret it because I was able to understand Tamaudian Mausoleum better. From now on, I’ll head out for lunch before it gets crowded. Shurei gate. When I see this gate, I feel like I’ve come to Okinawa (^^). I will go to Shuri Soba for lunch.

I’m looking forward to it as it has received high ratings (^^). It’s about 13 minutes walk from here. The Shuri headquarters bunker is being investigated. The walls of Shuri Castle are amazing in scale. When I see this kind of scenery, I feel the romance of history. Almost there! .

The store is in the back. There is a parking lot next to the store. 5 minutes walk from Shuri Soba Yui Rail Shuri Station Business hours 11:30-14:00 (sold out) Closed on Sundays. I came here almost at the same time it opened. However, there was a wait.

It rotates quickly and I was able to put it in right away (^^). When I looked it up, there were 24 seats. The menu includes Shuri soba. It was a simple composition with boiled vegetables and rice balls. Shuri soba (medium) 500 yen Boiled (with rice ball) 500 yen.

The simmered dish is so popular that it sells out quickly. Shuri soba. Boiled. It’s a rice ball. Boiled meat, daikon radish, and red meat. It contained shiitake mushrooms, green beans, and fried tofu. Quite a volume! . Ginger is distinctive. The three pieces of meat are stewed until tender.

When I looked into this meat, it turned out to be loin. The noodles at this restaurant are handmade. The sense of unevenness actually whets the appetite (^^). The noodles also seem a little hard.

When you eat it, it’s smooth and has a hard texture that makes it feel like it can be cut easily. The unexpected firm texture and clear bonito stock go well together. The three pieces of meat had a gentle seasoning. In Kansai, simmered food is called “oden”.

There are two of each, so it’s quite a volume. It is well-cooked and has an elegant flavor. It looks like it would go well while drinking Orion beer (^^). When you take a sip of the soup, the flavor of the soup stock spreads out.

It is light but has a rich soup stock flavor. The rice balls were filled with oil and miso and were delicious (^^). It was cheap, delicious, and I was very satisfied (^^). There’s no way it won’t become popular! .

I’m going to see the large akagi in Shuri Kinjo for some exercise after dinner. The location is about 13 minutes walk from Shuri Soba. This is a gate located on the east side of Shuri Castle. This place was also under renovation. Ishiganto is often seen in Okinawa.

It is said to be a stone monument that serves as a talisman. I have arrived, but is it here? here? . let’s go. It’s like walking down a path without a path. The road is in hard mode. I went down to the bottom.

It is said that this area miraculously escaped the ravages of war. There is also a well-maintained walking path. This area has an atmosphere of another world. big! . On the day of its restoration in 1972, it was designated as a national natural monument and protected. The root part is also quite large.

When you look up, you can see epiphytic plants such as Shima Otaniwatari and Alocasia. Surrounded by large red oak trees and overgrown plants. I feel a mysterious flow of air. This is Uchikinjodake. This Utaki is said to be the place where the gods descend.

The estimated age of the tree is about 300 years. At first I thought about what I should do about going there. I’m glad I came because it was really worth seeing (^^). The cobblestone streets of Shuri Kinjo-cho are nearby, so let’s go check them out.

It’s about a 6 minute walk to the cobblestone streets of Shuri Kinjo Town. Almost there! . This area is Shuri Kinjocho cobblestone road. This is a historic road that was built during the reign of King Sho Shin. There is Kinjomuraya on the way. It has become a free rest area.

It is also usually used as a local meeting place. Only a portion of the stone pavement remains today due to the Pacific War. It’s going to be difficult to get home, so I’ll leave it at this point. You can go to Shuri Castle by climbing the hill. It continues to be quite steep.

Whoa. There was a cafe. I’ll take a break here. Ishidatami Chaya 2 minutes walk from Shinju Shuri Castle south exit bus stop Business hours 11:00-16:00 LO 15:00 Closed on Tuesdays. The location of the store is 5 minutes walk from Kinjomuraya mentioned earlier. The menu included drinks and sweets. There was a sample.

The sweets look delicious (^^). It’s on a hill, so the view is great. Mango juice 600 yen. The coaster makes you feel warm (¨̮). A drink after climbing the hill is delicious (^^). When I drank it, it was a stylish glass. Return to the car.

This area has been selected as one of Japan’s top 100 roads. It is said that when it was created in 1522, it was shining white. It was great to get a glimpse of Okinawa’s history (^^). It seems that the Pearl Road continued from Shureimon. Is this area also a pearl road?

I’m heading to Kokusai Dori now. I have found the hotel where I will be staying today. At Hotel Orion Naha. It opened on November 20th last year. When you get to this area, it feels like Kokusai Street. I still have time to check in at the hotel.

I’m going to the cafe I wanted to go to. arrival. There is a cafe inside the Okashi Goten. Let’s go inside. The interior of the store is modeled after Shuri Castle. Last summer, there was a poor harvest of red sweet potatoes. There was a situation where the product was out of stock.

Has it already been resolved? Is this a new product? . saw it for the first time. Gallery Cafe Yukura Okashi Goten Kokusai Dori Matsuo store 2nd floor Business hours 11:00-18:00 (LO 17:30) Open all year round. let’s go. As soon as you enter, there are many Shisa! .

This place also serves as Yachimun’s gallery. You can see works by living national treasures Jiro Kinjo and Tsunega Shima. The atmosphere inside the store is calm. You can enjoy Yamuchin’s world view. The menu includes sweets using red sweet potatoes. Orders are made using your smartphone.

Many of the cakes are made using red sweet potatoes. For coffee etc., there was a service where you could choose the design of the Yamuchin bowl. Whoa. A serving robot brought it to me (^^). In Yamuchin’s worldview. It’s packed with the latest technology (^^). Beniimo soft-serve ice cream parfait 715 yen.

Beni-imo Sofuto, Beni-imo tart and Beni-imo soup. It looks even more delicious with the Yamuchin cup (^^). First, let’s try the red sweet potato soft serve. delicious! . The rich flavor of red sweet potato spreads. The soft serve ice cream is also smooth. And a red sweet potato tart.

It’s made in the factory on the first floor, so it’s freshly made. The cream feels softer than the red sweet potato tart I received as a souvenir. I want to go to Yamuchin no Sato to find something I like. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is calm and adult. There is a relaxed atmosphere.

There were cornflakes in the bottom. Surrounded by Yamuchin. In an elegant and relaxing cafe. Personally, it has become my favorite place. The final checkout is also completely self-administered. I had almost no contact with the store staff. Will stores like this become mainstream in the near future? Lots of shisa! .

The price was also reasonable, starting from 500 yen. I’m about to head to check in at the hotel. I always want to come to Okinawa and buy an Orion T-shirt. I worry about which one to buy and end up not buying it. I’m back in the car.

This rental car was a big hit. It’s easy to drive (^^). It takes about 5 minutes by car from here to the hotel. Arrived at the hotel. The hotel had just been renovated and felt very stylish (^^). There was an Orion shop inside the hotel. I bought a T-shirt here.

I’ll take a short break before heading out. I’m leaving the hotel now to go to dinner. For dinner, I will go to Makishi Market, which I had been to before. I arrived at Heiwa-dori shopping street. Local shops are lined up here. I feel nostalgic. arrival.

The location is a little far from Kokusai Street. This is my first time coming here at night. Let’s go inside. This time we will buy some fish and cook it for you. Nagamine fresh fish. There is also sashimi that you can easily eat here. It was a reasonable price.

Fresh-looking seafood is lined up in rows. Colorful fish are lined up. The names of the fish are also written for easy understanding. This time with shrimp. I bought Irabuture. You can cook up to three dishes of the fish you buy for 500 yen. There were specific cooking methods that were easy to understand.

This time, I decided to eat it using the cooking method recommended by the staff at the restaurant. It was empty at the time. We were introduced to recommended shops. En business hours: 9:00-21:00 Closed on the 4th Sunday of every month (according to the facility). There are various menus at the restaurant.

Drinks are offered at relatively cheap prices. Izakaya menu. We also have a variety of Okinawan menu items. All famous Okinawan dishes were available. Orion draft beer (medium) 500 yen. (Medium) is 500 yen, which is a good deal (^^). Let’s have a drink first. Orion beer is refreshing and easy to drink.

I don’t feel much bitterness either. How to cook fish. The staff will ask you how to prepare it. At that time, specify the cooking method. Irabucha is here! . The cooking method was butter-grilled and sashimi. Irabucha was 1,000 yen each. Prices vary by gram.

This time, the cooking method was suggested by the staff at the restaurant. They will suggest cooking methods that are suitable for the fish. I liked that I could change the cooking method for each half of the body and eat it from time to time. I ate butter-yaki when I first came to Okinawa.

This is the cooking method that I am addicted to (^^). Sweet smell. delicious! The butter and garlic work well. The meat has a soft texture (^^). I wanted to grill the whole fish with butter. I’m going to eat steak after this, so I’m going to eat it sparingly.

The sashimi had a nice crunchy texture. Ushi shrimp has arrived! . I also ordered Yushi tofu separately. Ushi shrimp was 600 yen. I had it grilled with salt. Yushi tofu 550 yen. There was enough Yushi tofu for two people (^^). Delicious (^^). It’s a comforting taste (^^). With a fluffy texture.

The mellow soybean flavor is the best! . The bowl is about the size of a ramen bowl (^^). A lot of Yushi tofu had accumulated at the bottom. And the shrimp. Another name is black tiger. Is it about the size of a tiger prawn? My body is tingling.

The unique sweetness and plump texture of shrimp is the best! . Grilled with salt, it had just the right amount of seasoning. was delicious. This is the details. Draft beer 500 yen Yushi tofu 550 yen Fish fee 1600 yen Processing fee 500 yen. I came across a nice shop this time too (^^).

I will return to Kokusai Street again. There are also many butcher shops here. Buy meat on the first floor. Apparently you can eat it with steak, yakiniku, or shabu-shabu. Kokusai Street is lively even at night (^^). I haven’t eaten Blue Seal since I came to Okinawa, so let’s go! .

Blue Seal Parlor Owan Branch 7 minutes walk from Yui Rail Makishi Station Business hours 10:30-22:00 Open every day. The store is right next to Hotel JALCITY Naha. I like that Blue Seal has a variety of flavors to choose from (^^). Great variety! . I like that the interior of this restaurant is American.

Double 600 yen. The flavor above is Shikuwasa Sorbet. It has a slightly sour taste, but is also sweet and has a refreshing taste. Below that is Okinawa taro cheesecake. There was a lot of cheesecake in there. When I tried it, the combination of taro and cheesecake was quite rich.

If possible, I would have liked to eat it with Shikuwasa… In Okinawa, it’s Blue Seal Ice (^^). Finally, head to the final steak. I went to the restaurant recommended by the hotel. Yappari Steak 4th Kokusai Dori Store 3-12-4 Makishi, Naha City Takaizumi Building 2F Business hours 11:00-01:30 (LO/00:30) Open all year round.

The store is located 3 minutes walk from Yui Rail Makishi Station. It’s recommended by a local. I think the cost performance is high. He said that there were not enough seasonings. We are currently open for reduced hours. Payment was required in advance. Steak is the most popular.

This place has all-you-can-eat salad, soup, and rice. There are also quite a lot of types of dressing. This is egg soup. You can also choose between black rice and white rice. After all, steak (180g) 1980 yen. Oh! . Piece of meat! . The lower plate is made of lava stone from Mt. Fuji.

Black rice, salad, and soup. Great variety! . There is also A1 sauce. The meat is a misuji part. The meat is extremely soft (^^). Because the inside is rare. Grill it to your liking on a lava plate. Looks delicious (^^). First, leave it as is. delicious! The soft red meat is delicious.

The inside is quite rare. Cut it first and grill it to your liking. The meat is soft, so it cuts easily. Now put in the A1 sauce. And garlic soy sauce too. First, let’s start with A1 sauce. delicious! .

The sourness and just the right amount of sweetness go perfectly with the meat! . How about garlic soy sauce? It has a Japanese feel, but the taste is quite strange. There are so many different seasonings that you’ll want to try them out (^^). “Kiwami”. Spicy.

There are a lot of seasonings, so you can eat until the end without getting bored (^^). I was able to eat 180 grams of meat. There are also stores in Osaka and Kyoto, so I’d like to go there again (^^). I’ll be heading back to the hotel soon.

That’s all for today’s VLOG video. What’s the next VLOG video? I went to see the nature in southern Okinawa. We will introduce cafes and restaurants surrounded by nature. Thank you for watching this far. See you in the next video! .

  3. Happy to see u in Okinawa again. 😊 Last year I watched your vlog and went to Okinawa on 3-10 Dec and I eaten Okinawa Soba near Naminoue Shrine as your vlog. It’s very delicious and crowed.😂😅 But there are many places I didn’t go so I planned to go to okinawa this April about 11 days. I’m jealous anyone who can flight just 2-3 hours to reach there. For my country I’ve to take transfer flight, Peach Aviation removed direct flight after Covid-19.
