*ABOUT US*
We are Steven and Diep, an Australian couple, who love to eat, travel and sometimes be a bit silly.

After our complete guide to niso video we had a couple of comments asking us to make this video so here it is for everyone that’s been waiting in this video we’re going to show you where to buy discount ski gear in Tokyo which is where I managed to snag these Oakley

Goggles for $30 Australian we’ll also tell you when the best time for sales are so some warnings about getting ski gear from this area Tokyo seems to have districts where shops of the same category congregate like the anime District or the kitchen wear District or luckily for us there’s a snow Sports

District as well located in the Kanda ogawamachi neighborhood this makes it very convenient when all the shops are in one area the easiest way to start your bargain hunting is finding the most popular store in the area London Sports which is a 4-minute walk from the ogawamachi station I’ll leave a Google

Maps Link in the description below the main store along the street sells jackets pants gloves goggles and things like that there’s actually another Branch tucked away in in the basement of the building next to Patagonia which sells gear like skis snowboards Etc expect the stores to be very busy in

Cramp which adds to the bargain hunting Vibe you can download their app to get further discounts London Sports is the place to start but you might be able to find cheaper gems amongst the numerous other stores in the district I was able to buy one random pair of Oakley goggles

For $30 Australian in one of the other shops it was just sitting there in The Bargain Bin and I couldn’t find anything even close to that price in any of the other shops even if you don’t find a bargain it’s super convenient to have so many stores in one area there are

Smaller independent stores and large chains as well some of the other stores in the area are Veil Sports fusso Victoria Sports Murasaki Sports explore the area if you have time because you’ll find even more stores not on that list look out for the taxfree signs as some

Shops offer taxfree if you’re a tourist holding a foreign passport when do the discount start mid January is when you’ll find sales starting and early March is when the prices are marked down even further the problem is you may not be able to find what you’re looking for

When the shops sell out of their stock which brings me to my warning because these shops are trying to clear their items you can’t rely on them to find everything you need and you can’t guarantee finding everything in your size and from personal experience I know

How important size is down there no not there L I had an awful time as a beginner skier because my boots didn’t fit I couldn’t do anything the instructor wanted me to do my feet were constantly clenching and holding on for dear life that’s why I recommend today’s

Sponsor boot Solutions owned by a specialist foot surgeon their Master boot Fitters will find and modify the perfect boot for you it’s surprising how affordable their prices are especially for such a custom service every foot is different and often off the-shelf boots just don’t cut it that’s why rental

Boots never quite fit right making you feel less secure and have less control well-fitting boots are considered by most skiers as the most important ski gear making the biggest difference to your performance they’re also travel friendly that’s why it’s smart to own your boots and and rent other gear boot

Solutions offers a detailed eight-step custom fitting process taking about 1 and 1/2 hours to ensure that your boots fit your unique foot perfectly worried about postp purchase adjustments they provide free custom adjustments for the first two seasons or the first 30 days of skiing whichever comes first with

Locations in nisso and hakuba they’re the go-to for ski boots in Japan hopefully with this guide you’ll have your gear sorted if you’re a beginner going to nisso and you have no idea what to do we have a popular guide for firsttime visitors to watch next or you
