Ski Trip to Hakuba, Nagano ★★長野県白馬スキー★★

First time in Hakuba (白馬), Nagano (長野), the site of the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics. There are various ski resorts and mountains to choose from. The best and biggest is Happo One. The mountain is a good size, and you can stay at the Happo village right at the base of the mountain. The bus stop goes to Happo village, so it is convenient. Hakuba is also not as crowded as other famous areas even on its busiest times. However, hotels are pricey and small. If you are comfortable staying a little bit aways, have a car, or can book a cheaper place way early, that might help. We also went to Iimori Goryu, which is good for beginners, and is connected to Hakuba 47. Other places are definitely less touristy than Happo One. There are many more ski resorts and mountains that you can access since a bus runs along all ski resorts and mountains. Check with your hotel, too. Finally, the food is pretty good. And a lot of the customer service (hotels, ski shops, restaurants) are foreigners speaking English or Chinese. @TravelWhiskers @TastyWaterOM

  1. Hakuba is such a nice place. Not so crowded compared to many other international ski spots

  2. Did not realize this would be more a food video than ski video… not that I am complaining.

Definitely more crowded than I expected
