This series is all about giving you a on the here in Tokyo and this day 2 of 5 of the itinerary. Crazy, look at that! Woah! So on the previous part we did the must do’s for first timers when we tried the famous Icharan Ramen, went to Shibuya Sky, experienced the

Chaos of Shibuya Crossing, and ate at the unique McDonald’s. For this video, come join my friends and I as we explore Tokyo’s most famous shrine, this insanely immersive art exhibit, and have a one of a kind dining experience with the juiciest beef cutlets ever. Before we start, make sure to scan this

QR code to check out the budget costs, itinerary, and Google pins of the locations in this video. I also suggest booking this Tokyo subway ticket in advance via klook or getyourguide as it gives you unlimited Tokyo subway rides. You can use my code RJTRAVELNCHILL to save some money. And without further ado,

Let’s get into the video. What’s up guys, it’s day 2 of 5 of the Tokyo series. And today, or right now it’s almost 12:30pm. We kind of started the day late when we’re headed to Udon Shin, and we kind of paid the price for it because the wait is

Now like around 6 hours. And look at this line. So what you have to do is you have to pick up the QR code, and then it shows you the time queue of like how long you have to wait. So right now we’re kind of on time again

Because we are headed to Meiji Jingu, and it’s around like a less than 20 minute walk from Udon Shin. Okay, and the best way to move around here is using Google Maps. I highly suggest getting an eSIM from Airalo. And don’t forget to use this discount code because you get $3 off.

That’s a hack. You need to do it. Alright, so let’s head to Meiji Jingu. So what’s actually really awesome is that this shrine was dedicated to Emperor Meiji. He is the first emperor of Japan. Before you go in, you have to pay your respects and bow when you

Enter and bow when you leave. So let’s do that right now. Bow. Okay, let’s go. You got to pay your respects, Zoe. You got to pay your respects. Yeah. Oh. There you go. What you guys think of the place? I think it’s really cool. It almost looks like an optical illusion

Of a never-ending forest, right? Right. Crazy. So peaceful too. Even though there’s a lot of people. So picturesque, huh? Yeah. Yeah. It’s actually really cute because there are people in kimonos, and especially the little kids in kimonos. We’re here walking to the forest, and there are these sake barrels.

Pretty famous and pretty iconic. There’s just a lot of Japanese characters. They’re very colorful. There’s a lot of designs. Look, there’s so many people too. So Emperor Meiji was beloved by the Japanese people because he led the industrial growth and modernization of Japan. Pretty neat, if you ask me.

Now we’ll be heading to the main shrine. As you can see, there’s like a big tori gate right behind me. So huge. Humongous, actually. Look at that. That’s big. Crazy. These houses are like… The structure is really traditional Japanese. It’s so cool to actually see it in person.

I’ve only seen it in like movies and stuff. Aw, and then you got this cute little girl in the kimono. Look at this. Look at this. So cute. Damn, look how crazy that is, bro. Yeah, it’s wild, huh? Look at the architecture and the details. Something I noticed about here in Japan,

So far from my two days here, is that everything is very efficient. Everything is very detailed. It’s the little things that count, and they’re very good at that. So something really cool here is that you can actually purchase a fortune. It’s like 500 to 3,000 yen. See, there’s some that’s for divine protection,

For the well-being of your family, peaceful minds, safe childbirth. A lot of cool ones right here. Bow. Whoa, my gosh, there’s so many. Oh, there’s like a… I think there might be like a demonstration or something. Just hear, like a… Loud bong. Oh, yeah, hold on. We got to check that out.

Yeah, mad. So intense! Yeah, so many, right? It’s getting louder and louder. Oh my god. Yeah, this is like a place where you can do some offerings and whatnot. So what do you do when you get up there? I think you clap twice. You bow. You make your prayers.

And then I think before you leave, you clap again. And then you leave. Okay. That’s just what I can see from other people. Very observant. Okay, so this is a divine tree right here, where you write your wishes and then you just hang it near the tree. Look at this.

It’s 500 yen though. Just want good health. Good health for the fam. And for you guys, of course. All right, and that’s that. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get a fortune because we have to rush to get to teamLab. What did you guys think of the experience? Beautiful. Yeah? And it’s free.

And it’s free. Stunning and perfect for a budget. Yeah. Like you said so good. Rich in culture and just very beautiful. So make sure to add Meiji Jingu on your to-do list and things to do here in Tokyo. All right, let’s go to the next one.

So we had to strictly get to teamLab by 3:30pm or else we wouldn’t be able to enter as per our ticket. And so we opted to take the bus because we thought it would be faster. However, there was such a huge line that we ended up being more late. 35 minutes late.

I don’t know, hopefully they take us still. We’ll see. And the line’s kind of long. So are you hopeful, Zo? We’ll find out. Yeah, we’ll find out. This is a part of travel you just never know. You just gotta test your luck and see what happens. Here it comes. Moment of truth.

Oh, it’s okay. Oh, thank God. Oh my god, we didn’t waste time. Thank God. Oh my God. I feel so relieved right now. That would suck because like this place gets booked so much. And I’m pretty sure there won’t be any more availability in the next three days that we’re here in Tokyo.

So you can book this teamLab activities via Klook. Don’t forget to use my code, RJTRAVELNCHILL And you can get some percentage off as well. So we’re almost there. Let’s get it. As you can see, people take off their shoes because your feet are gonna get wet. So just be careful, all right?

Yeah, so there are lockers here for your things. Just FYI. Okay, onwards we go. Sorry it’s kind of dark, but So water area, I guess. So my GoPro struggled at the dark parts, so if you want to see clearer videos of the exhibits, check out their official website in the description below.

Oh my God. It smells like a spa, exactly. Ah, my feet. Oh, it’s not too bad. It’s not too bad. Don’t trip because I have so much gear right now. Like, it’s slippery. What the heck? Yo Czar, how are you doing over there man? Oh, it smells like chlorine now.

You know, I dare you to take a shower there. Oh my God. And this next room I heard was gonna be a fun one per Czar and Zoe since they’ve been here before. It’s like a big, like, a Tempur-Pedic room. It’s easier than before. Before we were falling all over.

Tackle her, wrestle her, wrestle her. Oh my gosh. Yo, it’s so comfortable. Oh my God, Czar fell. Yo, it’s mad comfortable. Holy. That was kind of fun. Last time, you could not walk without falling. Oh, shoot. It was like more squishy, so like… Oh, oh, I see it.

I see it in the famous sparkling. Oh my gosh. Whoa. Yo. What the heck? This is so magical. Oh my God. There’s so many lights. It’s insane. The sounds is like so heavenly and therapeutic and just happy vibes. Look at that. Hey, let’s go. Yo. I’m just in awe right now.

Yeah, I do feel that my senses are tingling. My spider senses are tingling. Oh, whoa. It feels like I’m traveling in space right now. Oh my gosh. This is crazy. Dang, it’s so sick. Oh, don’t look under my shoes. My shorts. Honestly, this is like one of the most

Beautiful exhibits I’ve ever seen. Actually, it probably is the most beautiful exhibit I’ve ever seen. Look, it’s like a mirror room right here. Crazy. Man, I’m so happy you guys are experiencing this with me right now. Honestly, so happy. I could legit cry right now. This is so crazy. Oh, there you go.

That’s it right there. I hope that got it. The next experience is the koi fish. Oh, the water is warm. It’s like someone peed in it. It’s like someone peed in it, bro. It looks like milk. Yeah, oh, it’s like milk. Yeah, the water looks like milk. Look at that.

You can see like the koi fishes. Yeah, so many of them. Right here, is where the magic is. This is like the most futuristic thing I’ve ever experienced, honestly. Just to give you an idea, I’m 5’9″ and the water’s right below my knees. And there are kois, holographic kois, kind

Kind of projecting onto the water. It’s insane. Beautiful. That’s what I was waiting for. Amazing. Do you think someone’s biting you? Some of these kois? I just saw a (inaudible) What did you do? You like touch her? This is another exhibit here. There’s a bunch of balls that light up in different colors.

Oh, whoa. Look at that. There’s so many and the balls are so big. This is definitely one of my favorite, or probably, if not my favorite art exhibit ever that I’ve been a part of. I feel like a lot more museums or art exhibits should kind of copy this style

Where it’s very immersive. Beautiful place. Top notch. We’re in the next exhibit right now. This one actually looks like a planetarium. There’s just a bunch of people laying down right now. Oh, what the heck? Is the room spinning? Is the room spinning? LIke that’s why you’re supposed to lay down Oh, what the–

Actually like it’s trippy. What the heck? How are they doing that? So I’m currently laying down as we speak. And these visuals are insane. It’s pretty next level though. Oh, look at that giant rose. Oh, look at the giant flower. Yo it’s so trippy. Like, why do I feel like

The room’s spinning, dude? What’s going on? Rj What’s going on? It’s so funny how you speak like You sound, You sound like you’re so confused like you’re dying, like What’s going on? I don’t know. My brain can’t process this right now. I don’t understand. My brain’s not processing this right.

Honestly, like, this room is making my head spin so much. I feel like I’m going to faint. So, if you want to do mushrooms, but like, don’t want to actually do it, this is the way to go. No, don’t do it. I’m just kidding. Don’t do it. Don’t do it.

If you’re interested or curious, this is how it would look like. Are you speaking from experience? All right, I’ll call this the druggy room. There’s so much happening in my mind right now. We need to leave. That was the most trippiest one for sure. That’s art though. Immerse yourself in flowers.

Become one with the garden. Oh my god. Oh, I love it. Please go to your right. Okay. All right, we’re now entering the garden. Whoa. Oh my gosh. Is this real? Is it fake? Oh, I don’t know. There’s so many- Ow my face. Oh, shoot. Let me smell it for you.

I don’t know. It doesn’t smell like anything, to be honest. I can see why you said you almost hit yourself because look there’s a mirror right here. It’s such a cool experience. Freaking love this exhibit. Again, I have to say this is my favorite exhibit of all time. All time.

Let’s just stay here and enjoy this garden right now. Oh, shoot. We have to go already. Dang, that’s fast. Unfortunately, there’s a time limit here at the gardens. So we gotta go because the next group has come. It is what it is, but it’s been a good experience.

Ready to get hit by a smell? Yo, how did that smell? Rj’s shoes. What you mean? That’s your guy’s locker. All right, let me see. Smells like cheese. I’m pretty sure mine’s gonna smell like flowers, to be honest. What you doing? What you waiting for? You get smacked in the

Face with that smell. For your steps. Yeah, I know by my 30,000 steps. So after teamLab Planets, we were mad hungry. So make sure to save ourselves for arguably the most popular restaurant in Tokyo for Gyukatsu. So this Gyukatsu Motomura location is right inside the mall, I think. And it’s located at B18.

B18, so we just go straight. Oh, shoot. I think it’s that, bro. Gyukatsu Motomura. Oh, it’s relatively small. And there’s a decent amount of tables as well. Let’s see how fast we can get inside. Now, we wait. It only took 16 minutes, which is fast. These are the skillets right here.

Which one did you get Czar? I think that’s yours. Oh, okay. Thank you, bro. Oh my gosh. Oh, you guys got the set A each. All right. Look at that. Look at that meal right there. So Gyukatsu Motomura is famous for their beef cutlets. This is one of the top

Restaurants to do here in Tokyo. Look at that. Yeah, you don’t really need oil because the beef here is so juicy and oily already. All right, let’s try and eat this together. So this is the beef right now. Look how meaty. Still kind of rare a little bit. Put it in the skillet.

Oh, it’s stuck. It’s stuck. Dip in the sauce. Bit of rice in there. This is what we’ve been waiting for for so long. Taste test. Cheers, guys. I missed it. Whoops. Oh my god. Bro. Whoah. Yo. It’s so good. It’s so tender. Party in your mouth again and your tastes buds. They’re dancing.

It’s like a mariachi band in my mouth right now. I love the Japanese cuisine because it’s such a flavor blast every time. All right, that should be good. Let’s try the beef cutlet by itself. I think it’s because it’s so fatty that there’s so much flavor. Juicy, that’s the word. Yeah, it melts.

The aroma is amazing. The sauce is amazing. 10 out of 10 experience for sure. I understand the hype now. Yo, how’s your food, guys? Insane! This is isn’t like– normally I don’t really like, I’m not very adventurous with meat and stuff. Like normally seeing like raw meat and

Stuff like kind of gross me out. But like this is a really cool experience and I’m actually loving it. Not just the steak, guys. Not just the meat. The mashed potato. Is amazing. Wow. Add this to your bucket list for sure. Everything tastes so good. Everything’s a flavor blast.

What more can you ask for? The beef is glistening. Look, it’s so shiny. All that fat and juices and oil. Oh my god. If there’s anything close to heaven, it’s Japan. And if you want to make it less chewy, make sure to give it enough cooking time. Hear that sizzle, ASMR. Nice, huh?

So from experiencing the tranquility of Meiji Jingu, being in awe of the immersive teabLab Planets, and trying the viral and mouthwatering Gyukatsu Motomura, it was a great way to end day two of our Tokyo trip. All right, guys. So we are back now at the hostel. Just to recap, here’s

The itinerary that we did. And here’s the budget of how much it cost for the whole day today. I guess that’ll wrap up day two of five here in Tokyo. Don’t forget to like, follow, and share. Follow me on all the socials. And I’ll see you for day three of the Tokyo series.

All right. Later, guys. Peace. Bye.
