Made the most of my expensive 7 day Japan Rail Pass. Saw most of the main Japanese island of Honshu. Purchased and used the Welcome Suica Card for the subway and on the first and last days of my 9 day trip. Reservations made for seats on the train are free with the JR Pass. Has very nice paved walkways compared to the other side of the street where there’s a lot of intersections and crosswalks with stop lights anyway I would stay on the right side from bu Garden into the Kyoto station and get some exercise getting those steps on the
