I remember watching an episode of Japanology 101 about this island. The residents have to deal with ashes all the time since the local volcano essentially works 24/7. I also remember the island having a problem with the locals moving out :^(.
I live in a naturally stable place so to me Japan comes across as a wild ride. You guys have snow, earthquakes, tsunamis, typhoons, active volcanoes, Kaiju attacks and so on. Nice video as always. Cheers from Brazil!
