Walking 4 Hours around Osaka, Japan, from Sunset to Evening | Umeda, Shinsaibashi, Namba

I’ve always wondered how long it would take to walk from Umeda to Namba, so today I thought I’d give it a try. We start the walk a little before sunset at Osaka Station, then make our way through Fukushima, Nakanoshima, Horie, Amemura, and Shinsaibashi on our way to Namba. From there we walk back up through the near east side of the city, zig zagging back towards Osaka Station.

Along the way we hear city sounds as we walk through bustling nightlife districts, quiet streets, back alleys, and across rivers. This is a long walk, just over 20K in 4 hours, so there are many interesting neighborhoods that we just pass through – but I have some good ideas for future walks. This evening is more of an overall tour of the city, a good chance to see how things are connected. I hope you enjoy the walk as much as I did filming it!
