Jozankei is the largest hot spring town on Japan’s northern island of Hokkaido, and is located just south of the island’s largest city, Sapporo. Along with hot springs, the town is also known for it’s beautiful natural scenery. Jozanke comes alive during the autumn season, when all shades of foliage bring the valley to life. There are riverside walking trails with several spectacular viewing spots along the way for your seasonal enjoyment. Early mid October is the best time to visit to enjoy the fall colors.
