This time, it’s a 2-day, 1-night journey on a ferry, featuring a unique capsule hotel onboard! Please relax and enjoy until the end. The journey begins at Kokura Station in Fukuoka Prefecture. This time, we’re taking the prestigious Taiyo Ferry from Fukuoka to Osaka!

The terminal is quite far from the station, so we’ll take a free shuttle bus. Now, let me introduce you to our route for this trip. About 30 minutes by bus, and we arrive at the ferry terminal. First, it’s time for boarding procedures. I’ve booked a Comfort Room in advance for this trip.

There are 1st and 2nd ferries, and this time we’re boarding the 19:50 departure of the 2nd ferry. The ferry departs at 19:50 and arrives tomorrow at 08:30. The biggest charm of the ferry is being able to travel while sleeping. It’s been a while since I last took the prestigious Taiyo Ferry. The entrance.

It’s spacious and has a feeling of openness. The room I am staying in this time is the second cheapest, the Comfort Room. The room has 14 semi-private compartments. Today, there are no other guests besides me, so it’s like having the place to myself. Yay!

It’s such a luxury to have such a recommended room all to myself. It’s barrier-free, so it’s safe for use by people in wheelchairs or the elderly. There’s a small recess under the room for storing shoes and luggage.

Although it’s a very small space, it doesn’t feel cramped due to the high ceiling and wide entrance. Since it’s a semi-private room, the partition is a curtain. It feels like I’ve made my own secret base. The futon and pillow sheets are already prepared.

As departure time approaches, I leave my room for a little exploration around the ship. This ferry was launched just 3-4 years ago, so it’s very clean inside. There are few people, so it seems like a calm journey awaits. I’ll be watching the departure from a super close distance.

The way of waving hands is very cute. And it seems the battery of the light has run out. Cute. Thank you for seeing us off! The ferry has successfully departed from Shinmoji Port. Even a 9-minute delay in departure is noted in detail. After the ferry departs, I usually go to have dinner.

You can enjoy a buffet for a fee. There’s a wide variety of alcoholic beverages (separate charge). Personally, I feel the buffet on the ferry tastes better than any restaurant buffet. First, everyone’s favorite, the hamburger steak. Thinking of colors, I also get some broccoli.

Choosing what to eat is part of the fun of buffets. Water dumplings! I’m going to eat! I usually eat out a lot, so I’m happy to see homemade vegetable and fish dishes. Simmered pumpkin. It reminds me of home. Of course, fried food is a must. There are also udon, mixed rice, and curry.

Alcoholic beverages are chargeable, but other drinks are all-you-can-drink. Today I’ll go with Minute Maid grape juice. So, here’s my dinner for tonight! The tray has 9 recesses, allowing for a variety of dishes. The food looks beautiful, so it seems delicious even before eating. The simmered pumpkin is sweet and delicious.

Baked curry is a specialty of Moji. The fish looks very beautiful without falling apart. After dinner, it’s time for dessert. I found a soft serve ice cream machine!!! Oh! Going smoothly♪ Ah. Oops. At the very last moment, the ice cream jumped out of the container. For now, I’ll adjust with a sweet potato.

And there we have it, a very strangely shaped soft serve parfait is complete. Of course, the taste is very delicious. No matter how much time passes, soft serve ice cream always lifts my spirits. It was very tasty! During the ferry ride, we will mostly spend our time on the 6th floor.

This is the kids’ room. The floors and walls are covered with mats, so children can play safely. There are two types of coin lockers. The refrigerated lockers have a fee, but the other lockers can be used for free. Paid refrigerated locker. Very convenient. Free Wi-Fi is available during the voyage.

On the dedicated website, you can view the ship’s map and read free manga. There’s also a store inside the ship. Numerous products densely packed together. It’s exciting when the ship’s store is well-stocked. I’ll take a bath later, so I bought a Taiyo Ferry original mini towel.

For souvenirs, I bought Pocky made with Kyushu’s Amaou strawberries. Also bought some chocolate from Kobe. As expected, the most popular item in the store is a must-buy. I bought the ferry’s original cookies and a stamp card. After the store closes, the 24-hour vending machines are still available.

Vending machines are an essential item on a ferry. Unlike other forms of transport, you can move around freely on a ferry, so you can enjoy a stress-free trip. The prices are also affordable, so I find them very useful. Let me introduce some of the items I bought at the store earlier.

I try to be careful not to buy too much to save money, but I always end up buying a lot when I visit the store. Taiyo Ferry’s most popular No. 1 cookies. The cookies are shaped like ships and very cute. Next are the strawberry Pocky.

These are much larger than the Pocky I know… Each piece is so big, it’s quite satisfying. Very delicious. Since there’s no bath in my room this time, I’ll use the shared bath. A monitor shows how crowded the bath is. The game center is available 24 hours.

I tried some games that seemed easy to win, but couldn’t win at all… Hmm… Huh? This shape looks familiar… I give up on the small plush toys and decide to try for a larger one. I wonder if I can get one of the small, cute ones. Ah, Chiikawa turned upside down…

The plush toy moved more than I thought, so I try again. Alright, how about this one? Aaaaah!!!! It lifted!!!! Aaaaah!!!! And I got it on the second try!!!! I wonder if the larger plush toys are easier to win? Chiikawa… so cute… Today, I’ll sleep with it in my room.

The time is now midnight, 0:00. After 22:00, it’s lights-out time, and the ship becomes quiet. I return to my room and start getting ready for bed. Well then, everyone. Good night, Lord Chiikawa. We will pass under the world’s longest suspension bridge, the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge.

The Akashi Kaikyo Bridge is a suspension bridge connecting Kobe and Awaji Island. Many people go outside early in the morning to see the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge illuminated by the sunrise. Passing under this bridge implies that we will soon arrive in Osaka. There’s a women-only powder room on the ship.

I never realized until now how beautiful this powder room is. The room at the back is a nursing room. Here are the washbasins, and toilets are in the back. There are a lot of hair dryers installed. Day 2 of the ferry trip. It’s time for breakfast.

The breakfast menu has a lot of Japanese dishes. Like yesterday, I’ll fill a tray with 9 compartments with food. My favorite dried radish! My favorite mixed fruits. It reminds me of school lunches. And of course, when it comes to breakfast, it’s rice!!!

I know that rice cooked in a large rice cooker is delicious. And I inevitably want to eat curry. Curry and ferry trips go very well together. And here’s the breakfast I completed! Being able to eat hot rice on the ship is such a happiness.

Fruits, grapefruit, macaroni salad, omelet with green beans in sesame dressing, tofu, grilled salted mackerel, Chikuzen-ni, dried radish. And there’s also salad and curry, making for a lavish breakfast. By the way, how much do you think this breakfast costs? It’s only ¥800 (about $5.5)!

It’s too cheap. You must eat it if you’re on the ferry. The curry is all-you-can-eat. It’s very spicy and makes the rice go down easily. I’m so full that I don’t need to eat lunch. Only a little time remains in the 2-day ferry trip.

Checking our current location, I discover a notation I’ve never seen before. 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo Planned Site! I go outside to see the current situation. Is this the venue that will become the planned site? I’m looking forward to 2025. We have arrived at Osaka Port. It was a very comfortable time that flew by.

From here, I’m heading to Umeda Station in Osaka. Umeda, Osaka. From here, I’ll be taking the Hankyu Railway’s Chiikawa collaboration train. The Chiikawa Train is a limited-time collaboration with Hankyu Railway. The period is from August 4, 2023, to March 28, 2024. This time, I’ve purchased a one-day unlimited ride ticket for Hankyu Railway.

Got a ticket in collaboration with Chiikawa. These tickets are no longer on sale. The Chiikawa train runs on three lines: the Kobe, Takarazuka, and Kyoto lines. This time, I’ll be riding the Chiikawa train on the Takarazuka line. Oh wow!!! Here it comes!! There are very cute Chiikawa illustrations posted on it.

At the front, there are Chiikawa illustrations and plush toys. Chiikawa is dressed in a Hankyu Railway suit, and it’s adorable. Illustrations of Chiikawa touring tourist spots in Osaka and Hyogo Prefecture are posted. The Chiikawa train runs from Umeda to Takarazuka. So, there are many illustrations related to Takarazuka.

Chiikawa is a manga that started on Twitter and is very popular in Japan. Recently in Japan, it’s very common for anime characters to collaborate with transportation. Not just the exterior, but the interior of the train is also full of Chiikawa. You can enjoy the journey without getting bored. Chiikawa train, depart!

The Chiikawa train runs all the way to Takarazuka Station, the final stop. It takes about 40 minutes from Umeda to Takarazuka. It’s the perfect amount of time to enjoy Chiikawa illustrations, not too long or too short. Arriving at Takarazuka Station, the final stop. There’s a lot of Chiikawa at Takarazuka Station.

I bought a Chiikawa plush toy at a shop in Takarazuka Station. These are also available for a limited time. Cute. Besides Osaka, there is also a Chiikawa shop in Tokyo, which I would like to visit. Where shall I go next? Thank you for watching till the end.

  1. Before and after, you would always be flaccid in the abdomen, flaccid, flaccid, unable, and forced to loosen your chest

  2. I absolutely love your videos, my friend. Japan is an amazing country to explore, especially cat Island. I really wish I could join you on your travels, as we seem to have the same travel preferences.

  3. I am visiting Japan in March and would like to visit Fukuoka but my plane lanes in Tokyo so maybe I will try this ferry. Thank you.

  4. 夜も朝も美味しそうな食事。船内の充実度が半端なく乗ってみたくなりますね。ちいかわGETだし最高です。コスパ良過ぎです。あの状況で万博やる気なのかな?間に合う?

  5. Oh wow ~ Itsuka-san was SUPER lucky during the ferry trip this time!
    1) by just paying abit more than 8k Yen, she got a HUGE "room" with 14 beds in it!😁
    2) with just the 2nd try, she got the big Chiikawa toy from the crane machine!🙌👏🎉
(believe it or not during the 2nd try, the moment the crane lifted the Chiikawa toy, I kept on repeating "OMG, OMG, OMG~" until the toy moved & dropped off at the receiving box!😆)
So according to Itsuka-san recommendation, we should actually eat buffet on a FERRY in Japan & NOT in those grounded restaurants!🤣
I'm actually SURPRISED that FREE digital manga on the ferry actually has big hit manga like "Shingeki no Kyojin"!
Keke ~ Itsuka-san actually rode the Chiikawa train with a Chiikawa toy inside her bag!😉

  9. I think Japan's ferry operators have figured out that their food is a major attraction!😋
But they have failed to figure out that they should lock up the Crane machines when Itsuka is on the passenger list.😆
And, of course, another anime train afterwards.
It was fun to join you at the Premiere. My sleeplessness paid a dividend this time.💚

  11. The train is so clean. They must wash them daily, something not done here in the States. The Chiikawa is so cute and chubby. Makes a good toy. Thank you for sharing the trip.
