In October 2023 I set up to explore Japan taking along my mju to point and TR film camera to capture all the moments along the way a really big bucket list item for me was seeing Mount Fuji I know that it’s not always easy to see this active volcano as often it’s
Hiding amongst the clouds but we wanted to try our luck anyway and headed out to town of hakun in the Kanagawa prefecture our first stop was the hakone open air museum it was just amazing being surrounded by the mountains with so many cool modern indoor and outdoor sculptures there was even a Picasso
Gallery which they had curated we then headed out on the hakon ropeway which was like a gondola ride over the mountains being able to see how volcanically active this land is was just amazing we still couldn’t really see Mount Fuji as it was hiding behind the clouds but you could definitely see its
Slopes leading up to the peak we then headed out on a pirate ship to cross Lake Ashi it was amazing seeing the Autumn Leaves and Tory Gates amongst the water it was so Serene and so peaceful quite random as well very much a one piece moment being on a pirate ship It was just an amazing way to end the Day as soon as we got off the ship there it was Mount Fuji the moment we’ve been waiting For it was nice to get a glimpse and we did get a better view the next day I was just so happy that as the sun was setting we managed to capture it in all its Glory after that we headed over to our hotel a beautiful rokan with private ons amongst the mountains but I’ll save that for the next Video
