Volcanoes, Forests and Lakes, Akan-Mashu National Park Hokkaido

Located in the eastern part of Hokkaido, the Mashu area of Akan-Mashu National Park is blessed with primeval scenes of volcanoes, forests and lakes – Japan’s largest caldera lake, Lake Kussharo, world’s clearest lake, Lake Mashu, and Mt.Io continuously spewing clouds of sulfur.
