Eating the most premium meat course at a All-You-Can-Eat Hotpot Buffet restaurant in Tokyo Japan

Nabezo Shinjuku Meiji Dori
Japan, 〒160-0022 Tokyo, Shinjuku City, Shinjuku, 3 Chome−5−4 レインボービレッジビル 7F

In this video we be having an All-You-Can-Eat Hotpot Buffet in Tokyo Japan During lunch it has a time limit of 100 minutes with 3 different course to choose from And will include Drink Bar We have decided on the most expensive course which comes with the best quality of meats! In Shabu-Shabu soup style

“Vegetable Market” Here we can pick and choose the vegetables for our Hotpot You pretty much find this type of setup for Hotpot buffets in Japan There are also ready to eat vegetables for a salad “Drink Bar” This has a nice variety of drinks For my first drink I shall choose orange juice

And a splash of calpis soda It makes nice sour and sweet fizzy orange yogurt type of drink This would be our Shabu-Shabu Hotpot for today The soup is made up of Kombu Dashi (Japanese soup stock made with dried kelp) These would be the 3 meats for our course

Some English instructions for beginners is included For dipping sauce we have ponzu And sesame We are now ready to Shabu-Shabu (Japanese Hotpot)! Let us do the Japanese Pork first They are strips of what look like the belly portion Just 4 swishes are they are cooked! It looks so good! Wow!

This was so fatty and so tender! Now lets try the Beef Tongue This meat is actually very popular with many people in Japan and can get very pricy here So I guess having this unlimited at a buffet is quite a highlight It is an innard so does scare some people off

The quality of this was good so any gamey flavor it had was pretty minimum Our last meat offered here is the Japanese Beef! They were thin and really big pieces! You do not want to over cooked this!! I cannot wait! Mmm! So good! We of course had to get a refill of this!

Nicely marbled meats that melts so deliciously in your mouth! Now let us start with the vegetables This would take a while “Seasoning Bar” Here they have a variety of sauces and condiments for you to mix and match

Food cooked in Shabu-Shabu is very light so it nice to add extra strong and bold flavors to it At the other side there were also meatballs and dumplings to grab Chinese noodle Udon And rice There we go Almost forgotten about the salad

It helps to fill the belly a little while you wait for the food to cook Looks like ‘Scum’ are forming in our Hotpot A friendly server came over to help us with that ‘Scum’ is a foam that seeps out meats when cooking it in high heat

It is said it makes the worst taste food if you don’t remove it The soup is nice and clear now And the vegetables are all soft and ready to eat! They are steaming hot! Lets cook the meatballs and dumplings in the meantime Spice up the dipping sauces And season the veggies

All already now! Nice! The hot vegetables become so tasty with the extra toppings! They were a delight to have with the meats too! Amazing flavors with the meats natural taste! Once the meatballs and dumplings start floating they are done They were alright Lets get the Noodles done now

This would be the Chinese Noodle It was lovely with a nice bite Our second refilled of Beef Tongue Now lets try the Udon This noodle is much thicker and squishy And also much more filling The Japanese Beef would definitely be my favorite meat here! It was pure bliss!

This time let me try the Iced Cocoa Not bad it is pretty chocolately Overall this buffet only offer 3 variety of meats so some may find it boring For me though having just this beef is good enough hehe I love Japanese Beef!

The soup does contains flavors of all the food at the end It is not common here for people to drink though There is ice cream for our dessert Black Bean Kinako Kyoho Sherbet Salt Milk And Mandarine Sherbet The sherbet flavors were nice and refreshing While the ice cream were creamy and natural

A lovely sweet ending

  1. I love watching your hotpot videos. I was forced to go pescatarian due to medical issues, so I can't have it, which makes me sad. I love watching you and Mrs. Bacon eat it though! A way to fulfill something I can't do anymore is suppose XD

  2. Looks great… I just ate at a similar AYCE Japanese hotpot in Suntec in Singapore (downstairs, around the fountain)… Plus they have a tier for seafood, and a tier for waygu… Been visiting there for (I think) 5-10 years…

  3. i love your hotpot and self-heating foods videos so much! always looking forward to your newest uploads 🙂

  4. Listen, When you leave out your partners wonderful facial expressions (reaction) You "LOSE" views Trust me! (And stop it!)

  5. Damn, this is the most expensive in Tokyo? That can't be right. This is cheaper than the most expensive All You Can Eat option at the hot pot place near me in the US suburbs.

  6. Love watching your video's so relaxing and helps me to fall asleep.. been watching you for nearly 4yrs…and did i just hear your voice saying Thank you when your second tray of beef tongue came 😏

  7. Everything looked so fresh and delicious, I would have been happy to have just the soup, noodles and veg!! Although I hear Japanese beef is not to be missed!

  8. Hi!😄
In Japan, we don't put various kinds of meat in hot pot. We usually enjoy pork, chicken, or beef alone. This is because it muddies the taste of the soup.
The way to enjoy shabu-shabu is to first boil and enjoy only the meat, then add plenty of vegetables, simmer them, and enjoy the meat with the vegetables, and finally cook noodles and rice in the broths from the vegetables and meat, and eat them soaked with plenty of extract. There is almost no broth left in the pot.
When having a nabe, there is always someone in charge of the cooking. This person, named "nabe bokyogyo" (Hot pot magistrate) is in charge of timing the vegetables and meat, and frequently scoops out the scum.🤣

  9. Thanks for taking us with you on all your culinary adventures; it helps people like me who will probably never get to go back to Asia enjoy the food along with you.

Even though the star of the show, the pricy cuts of meat do not appeal to me, I’d still enjoy eating the vegetarian options. That vegetable market looks awesome!

  10. 一つのものを2つの箸で持つのは葬儀のときに行なうもので日本人は避ける行いですよ
