Hello everyone I’m Susie your travel Navigator in Japan today I will guide you the best transportation options from Narita Airport to your hotel and share some critical tips for smooth airport experience skipping these steps might lead you to a necessary spend for money and time on the days ahead so don’t miss

It please watch until the end and I I hope this information will help you for your Japan travel enjoy okay so let me start by explaining you about the transportation options if you are planning to stay at a hotel in Tokyo and arriving at Narita Airport you have got four Transportation options

Option one k Skyliner option two Jr Narita Express option three airport lims in bus and option four car or taxi this information is from Narita Airport’s website if you pick a station name you can see how long it takes by Skyliner Jr Narita Express and Lim you can compare option one Kay

Skyliner using the Kay Skyliner you can reach Nei in just 36 minutes and weno in 41 minutes directly the transfer to the asaa line and auto station is quite seamless providing convenient access to asaa and shimbashi area the cost is quite reasonable to write the Skyliner simply

Buy an Express ticket at the counter or through the machine this total price covers both the regular fair and the express fee another advantage of the Skyliner is frequency there are more Skyliner trains per hour compared to the Narita Express although there are local trains that take twice the time for half the

Price the Skyliner guarantees a reserved seat for everyone and offers a very comfortable experience that’s why many Travelers with luggages tend to choose Skyliner option two Jr Narita Express if you are heading to Tokyo Yokohama or hachioji the Narita Express offers you convenient access this is what the inside of the Narita Express looks like However I’d like to caution you that after getting off the Narita Express there might be a considerable distance from the platform to the exit and taxi Area option three Airport limsin bus there are two types of buses available each operated by different companies and it’s important to knowe that their counters right next to each other so be mindful when making your purchase the first company offers a variety of buses heading to many different regions and

Hotels the price prices are comparable to Jr but the availability of buses of each destination is somewhat limited due to the diverse range of destinations on the other hand the second Airport bus is more budget friendly and operates frequently however the destination are more restricted there is a vending

Machine it it looks like more fast right and for me uh to Yokohama it cost 3,700 y so it cost almost the same as train but I prefer taking bus because um I don’t need to exchange the train and I don’t need to walk a lot in the to get

To the platform of the station right so it’s much easier for me and I’m so small so I can I’m comfortable even in the bus right but obviously for my big boyfriend he he prefer train so from next time we’re going to take Train the next class is 610 and the other one is 62 each 10 minutes there is a bus to Tokyo station it’s super convenient you can leave your luggage under the bus and you don’t need to carry it’s much better than uh Narita Express I Think Option four car or taxi if you have someone who can pick you up at the airport that’s a great choice the best choice depends on your specific situation so let’s figure out which one suit you best I have created a helpful chart for your travel choices first decide if you will be

Getting a Japan Rail Pass or not if yes go for the Narita Express next consider your hotel in the ueno OR Asaka area or not if the answer is yes go for the Skyliner now for the third question what’s more important for you a spacious comfortable seat or avoiding unnecessary

Walking if a roomy seat is your priority the Narita Express is the way to go if you would rather skip the walking choose the airport liming bus now I would like to explain you about Japan Rail Pass and sua card getting those two at the airport is critical tips for your smooth Japan

Travel what is Japan Rail Pass the Japan Rail Pass is a cost effective try ticket exclusively available for foreign tourists visiting Japan it provides unlimited access to most Japan rails Jr trains Nationwide for a set period to be typically 7 14 or 21 consecutive days the pass covers a

Bast Network including Shin consen blit trains limited Express trains and local Jr lines Travelers can use the pass for multiple Journeys within its validity period making it convenient for exploring different regions of Japan it did like a two different way so one is you can buy in your country and

You need to bring your physical voucher to here with your passport or you can access to this website and when you complete your purchase you will receive the reservation number and you can show your reservation number to the counter and you can buy so if you are have a

Stump with a temporary visitors you can access to this website oh even today yes okay but you need to have a reservation number and then there is a uh 7even days 14 days 21 days okay and this is ordinary this is a green and green car

Is more space for the legs okay and if you have a c pH you can access to this uh C for and the website and these are the only the G online no Subway no Metro or any other train company and n express and bullet trains including

Okay so when you get off when you come down just in front you will see Jr service center here you can get Japan Rail Pass if you have voucher you can exchange it and if you don’t have you can apply it on the from the app right

Now see when the flight arrives uh long line will be appear but not always maybe you think oh I’m too tired of making line on the Arrival Day I will change my voucher to the jail pass at the other station in following day that’s fine but

We a be aware that the line at stations can be quite long on the following day leading to unnecessary await time Additionally you will spend separate Transportation cost to get to your hotel on your arrival day therefore I would recommend you to go to the J East Travel

Center as quickly as possible after your arrival to get your ja pass at the airport station okay this is one of the critical tips for smooth travel experience in Japan the next one is getting a sua card at the airport what is sua card the sua card is a convenient and

Rechargeable Jr smart card used for public transportation and shopping in Japan you can use it for ride trains and buses make purchases at vending machines and even pay for items at some stores right now you cannot buy new S card because of the lack of the C so uh if

You are the tourist you are able to buy a j red sua card which name is welcome sua so the red sua card you can purchase only at the airport right now it’s temporary information as of October 2023 um right now the red red welcome sua is sold only at the airport Jr

Station at the air airport you cannot buy inside in uh like you cannot buy in Tokyo Station uh it used to be sold before but right now as lack of the inventory uh they don’t sell at the station in Tokyo area so make sure to purchase welcome

Sua at the airport right this is the temporary information as of October 2023 maybe in future you will be able to buy that in Tokyo but right now it’s the St status is like that you’re welcome sua please buy from the Red Machine over there so there are two machine here you

Can buy sua card even if you have Jr pass it’s very convenient to have sua card because uh you can use it when you get on Subway or non Jr train uh you can use the sua card you don’t need to buy the ticket all the time and also you can

Use it everywhere like to at the convenience store vending machine everything so it’s really nice to have one secet card with you even though you have Jr pass okay okay so if you are willing to get Japan Rail Pass and welcome sua get them at the airport on your arriv day and you

Can save lots of time in the following days hey how was it uh even for me it was so complicated and I didn’t know the difference but now it it’s very clear now I’m glad I could do the research and provide this information to you before you come to Japan by the way

Today it looks kimono yeah I’m wearing kimono do you remember the Hai that I introduced you in the aaka kimono shopping video so this is regular dress which I I I needed to wear for my work today and I use this as a as a jacket see it’s very comfortable nice I like

It okay we’re waiting for you welcome to Japan please enjoy it bye I

  1. We really liked the Keisei skyliner to Ueno. It was easy to get on and it let out in an area with reasonably priced hotels. It was confusing on the way back though since we didn't quite understand that we needed an express ticket and a seat ticket (or however its supposed to work).

    Helpful video!
