Tastes better in Sapporo arigatō gozaimasu [Music]   welcome back to Japan if you’ve missed our last couple Vlogs we are exploring Hokkaido in Japan the northernmost prefecture starting our journey in Sapporo Sapporo is the fifth largest city in Japan and it’s famous for a few things

Being one of the snowiest cities in the world and of course it’s Sapporo beer look how much snow there is on  your right hand side it’s taller than you we have a jam-packed itinerary across Japan through winter so make sure you stay tuned so we’ve just made it to Moerenuma Park

Which is about half an hour’s drive from Sapporo city it cost 4190 yen to get here we’ve already spotted a humongous hill absolutely covered in snow so we’ve already got our eyes set on getting to the top and hopefully having some lovely views of Sapporo

We’ve also just discovered a miniature Louvre, which annoyingly is actually closed today this is cool though it’s a shame we can’t go inside we’ve just turned the corner. It’s so bright I can barely open my eyes! it’s like an actual Mountain! It’s so high!

It’s going to take at least 10 minutes to get up I reckon I reckon like half an hour! Oh right, maybe it might take longer than 10 minutes then… it’s bigger than you think [Music]   it’s really life breathtaking I don’t really know  what to say it’s just like wow it’s just awesome

This is really cold though my ears are starting to hurt   I’d say for about three quarters of the way  up now it is a lot harder than it looks you’re slipping all over the place. we’ve already got  some insane views around us so let’s keep going

That was a lot harder than it actually looked. I’m knackered! we’ve made it the views up here are insane It is so cold! wow that was worth it we should have bought a sled we failed massively

Unfortunately we didn’t have the luggage capacity to bring a  sled or a donut with us on this trip to Japan however a slow walk back down will suffice right, look at you using the vending machine Well.. our guide explained that all of the red ones mean hot.

Green tea, brown tea, honey and lemon tea, black coffee, coffee with milk, a different type of black coffee give Tully’s a go. oh it is hot! oh my gosh! Moment of Truth is the black coffee nice? I mean it’s really hot. oh it smells like freshly brewed.

Tell you what from out of a vending machine that’s pretty good It is really hot! oh come on I’ve been operating the camera while you’ve had your warm gloves on on that hill oh yeah it’s perfect yeah I feel like the outside is hotter than  the actual contents itself very nice

There is so much snow! okay let’s go… okay! snow covered statues… it is covered in snow our quota of snow for the day has yet to be completed so we headed on over to Sapporo Art Park

It’s located in a 40 hectare forest and this is usually an awesome place to discover and enjoy the various sculptures but on a day like today there’s so much  snow we may be lucky to see anything we’ll go and have a look anyway we spotted our first sculpture

One thing I will say is it is absolutely stunning here it’s so pretty in every direction you look Look how much snow there is on your right hand side. it’s taller than you So I reckon we have definitely saved the best till last because I don’t know if you know but Sapporo is quite well known for it’s beer! and one of our favorite beers from Japan is Sapporo so to be able to visit the Sapporo Beer factory / Museum / Garden in Sapporo is amazing So we’ve got classic Sapporo and we have Yebisu Sapporo We’ll try the classic first can’t beat the classic be interesting to see what this tastes like tastes the same tastes better in Sapporo so we have our very own bibs or aprons

That we can wear. looking fancy darling. because there’s gonna be a lot of splashing I’m ready to be fed now there’s like three or four different all-you-can-eats ranging from about 3400 Yen for the basic and it goes all the way up to like the King Viking option which is about 6 000 Yen per person

We’ve all gone for the very basic option, you essentially order what you want first to come out so you can choose how many you want of your lamb your pork and your chicken as well as your vegetables

And then we’ve got our own hot plate in the middle of this table and we can essentially cook our own food thank you. we’ll watch how you do it and then we’ll copy side = vegetable, this… meat change colour… eat!

He basically said, vegetables round the outside meat in the  middle and as soon as it changes color… EAT! Let’s give the lamb a go I bet it’s going to be like piping hot as well I think you’re going to enjoy that I love it because the cuts of meat are so thin that it basically just melts in your mouth as soon as you bite in to it all right I think this is done

I have no idea what this is I think it’s pork you look angry that is so good I’m angry we only got one we need to order some more that’s it we’ve seen it all now we are being replaced by robots

Literally a robot serving meat to a table, a customer taking it off the robot and then robots saying goodbye and going back to the kitchen unreal so guys we’ve got chicken, we’ve got pork, we’ve got lamb, bean sprouts, cabbage we are so surprised how much food we’ve actually made it  through so far

I also can’t believe that this is the cheapest option because it’s really good and there’s so much of it and you can keep ordering arigatō gozaimasu I have to say that was probably a nine out of  10 for experience and like a solid 8 out of 10 for food

Onto the next place for dessert it seems parfait in Sapporo is very popular for dessert so we headed to a place that specialized  in signature parfait desserts and Cocktails on the menu there is breakdown of the ingredients  and the hardest part is definitely choosing which one to go with

Alex and I shared the strawberry crown and the pistachios and chocolate, they both did not disappoint   so good! It’s like a cheesecake so guys that was a very jam-packed 24 hours in Sapporo we have plenty more to come in our upcoming Vlogs

We have one more day in Sapporo before we go to explore other parts and other areas of the Hokkaido region so we hope you enjoyed this Vlog if you did like this video

We would really appreciate a like and if you want to see more and want to see more of Japan then hit  that subscribe button see you on the next video [Music]   Asahikawa is one of the coldest  cities in Japan
