Hamamatsu Japan 2023

A center of artistry and craftsmanship, Hamamatsu is located on Shizuoka’s western flank. The Pacific Ocean, a river, mountains, and Lake Hamana, a brackish lake with onsen resorts, are all close by, providing a ton of leisure opportunities. Tokugawa Ieyasu’s 1570 construction of Hamamatsu Castle is another attraction.

Regular trains, buses, express buses, and shinkansen are all convenient ways to get to Hamamatsu.
The JR Tokaido Shinkansen bullet train stop in Hamamatsu is connected to Tokyo. This train and other JR trains to the city are accessible to holders of Japan Rail Passes. Alternatively, you can get to Hamamatsu from Tokyo in around four hours via Tomei Highway bus. From Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Airport, “E-wing” buses arrive in about 70 minutes.
