This is the Aigi Tunnel Group in Aichi Prefecture. It is only open to the public for 12 days in spring and fall.
This is a group of tunnels on the Chuo Line that opened in 1900.
It became the current route in 1966 and was abolished.
There are 12 tunnels in total, and only tunnels 3, 4, 5, and 6 are open to the public.
Tunnels 1 and 2 are right next to the current route and are closed to traffic, tunnel 7 has collapsed, and tunnels 8 to 12 are difficult to reach areas.
