  2. It seems worse now with crowds than before the pandemic. Damn that Tanuki with the red hat had huge balls! 😹

  3. Are you enjoying Japan? The photos at the shrine were also wonderful! This is something many Japanese people do when visiting shrines, so if you are interested, please check it out. I will respond if you have any requests.

  4. If there is trash strewn about a large garbage bag that has been ripped open, it is almost always due to crows or a feral animal (crows are definitely the worst). When trash bags containing any food scraps or remnants in containers is set out for collection, most will usually be covered with a type of netting to prevent the animals from opening and scattering the contents.
