Yugawara is a hot spring village whose hot springs are recorded in Japan’s oldest anthology of Japanese poetry over 1,300 years ago.
It is said that famous Japanese military commanders and generals healed their fatigue and wounds at Yugawara’s hot springs.
Members-only resort hotels and traditional Japanese wooden inns are lined up along rivers filled with atmospheric waterfalls and hot springs.
