This is a 35-minute high-speed flight from Tokyo to Osaka. The flight between Tokyo and Osaka is very popular, and many people travel every day.
Also, both cities are major destinations for land traffic. Unlike ordinary passenger flights, this flight follows the expressway from Tokyo to Osaka.
There are two popular travel routes between Tokyo and Osaka, the inland and coastal routes.
This flight takes the inland route, following the Chuo Expressway and Tomei Expressway. This route shows us beautiful views of the undulating land of Japan and the mountains.
There are many ups and downs compared to the other route, but it should be a good choice for relaxed driving.
The travel distance is roughly 550km, and it will be around a 6.5-hour drive without a break.
So, we chose F/A 18E Super Hornet for the aircraft to travel fast. Please bear with the higher roll angle due to high-speed flights that sometimes exceed 90 degrees.

– Take off from runway 04 of Haneda, Tokyo International Airport.
– Head west and follow Chuo Expressway until it merges Tomei Expressway.
– Head northwest at Showa, Yamanashi prefecture.
– Turn southwest at Okaya, Nagano prefecture.
– Head west at Achi, Nagano prefecture.
– Start to follow the Tomei Expressway at Komaki, Aichi prefecture.
– Fly near Nagoya in Aichi prefecture.
– Head southwest at Maibara, Shiga prefecture.
– Fly over Kyoto and Osaka.
– Head to Kansai International Airport and land on runway 25R.
