Visiting an Oasis of Vending Machines at the Mountain’s Foothills in Japan.

Japan’s Unique Food Vending Machines!!

In my videos, I often feature a unique aspect of Japan: hot udon vending machines, which are quite rare. There are probably only about 100 of these machines throughout Japan. Moreover, their numbers are dwindling due to aging. Unlike in major urban areas like Tokyo and Osaka, these vending machines are often found in remote areas, accessible only by multiple train or bus rides. The ingredients and soup for the udon are handmade by each machine’s owner, giving each machine its unique flavor. In Japan, these old-fashioned hot food vending machines are known as “retro jihanki” and are popular among collectors and enthusiasts. If you’re interested in retro vending machines, you can search for “レトロ自販機” in Japanese, or subscribe to my channel!
