The last time I visited Japan was almost a decade ago. It was a different time then, as you can see from my 10-year-old video, Just Japan (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XSyQM1_Fy0w).
With my newfound experiences and the camera gear I acquired over the years, I have decided to revisit Japan again, this time in Autumn, and filmed my 2-week journey across the country, from Tokyo to Kyoto to Hiroshima, and beyond.
I revisited some of the places I saw on my last trip a decade ago like Nikko and Kyoto, but also visited some places I’ve never been before like Osaka, Hakone, and Hiroshima. It was a jam-packed activity every single day and that is what I wanted to convey in this new video.
I want to show you the beautiful contrast of Japan from day to night, from light to dark, from zen gardens and temples to neon lights and Halloween celebrations.
I had a hell of a time in Japan, even more so than the last time I was here, and I hope this video was able to capture the tremendous energy I felt when I was traveling in Japan, even if it’s just a glimpse of it.
PS. I also got myself a new camera, the DJI Pocket 3, and many of the timelapses and hyperlapses you see in the video are shot from this little camera. I love it!
Enjoy!
