  3. I live in Syracuse and work right down the street from the fairgrounds. I haven't bothered going there in almost 15 years.

    The regional dishes shown here though, us locals are obsessed with. You need to try the Utica tomato pie, greens, and chicken riggies separately. They really are unique dishes.
    You should come back and try the restaurants around here. Syracuse is kind of a depressing shithole, but we have some GREAT restaurants that I'd put up against any other region of NY state.

  4. That first sandwich, the grilled cheese was burnt, and so was the meat patty.
    Very unappealing.
    You think they would have tried not burning anything, considering they were gonna film it all.

  5. I think I would rather eat the monkeys that the tribes in Africa eat that you have shown, compared to any of that food. It all looked gross except the lobster place

  8. OK, Anything deep fried is good… with that being said, I just feel like fair food has turned into the turducken. We used to fry basil as a garnish in the mid-2000s as chefs. I wish we could elevate fair foods in the US like other countries instead of deep-frying a grilled cheese, a burger,bacon, cheese, pickles. I was hoping for something mind blowing with a sauce, or something. I guess you wouldn't need it with all the grease, I don't know? I'm an avid pickle freak ,and was excited to see pickle sammiches. Well, until I watched them scrape the inside of the pickles into the garbage😬. I was like their going to turn that into a sexy pickle salsa condiment, nope😭. I still thought, maybe they have a plan… oh an Italian sammich! I was destroyed when they used American cheese… that's blasphemous, especially with all the upper New York farms, and ya know New York, mozzarella? Ok, I'm almost stopped watching, but that dang lobster 🦞 roll, the tomato pie, you already know that's old school and on point. I don't mean to be critical but NY is so diverse, I guess I was expecting more.
