Japan is not as expensive as you might think. I recently went to Japan for vacation and business and found that despite what everybody is claiming, the cost to get through a day are surprisingly affordable.

What about accommodation?
I ate at a near 5 star restaurant with a 3 course meal at the price of 42 dollars that would've been 400 dollars in the US.
It was Venison, these weird French green beans. Mash potatoes that tasted like cheese cake. Coconut kiwi jelliton. A salad with Italian dressing made in the kitchen. While in a skyscraper in Tokyo Japan.
When I was in Japan I hate four plates of Wagyu which made me more than full for like 60 dollars
