  1. Your videos are my favorites! I am from Idaho USA and I never heard Okie Dokie Anywhere else! I love your commentary..And I Love the frequent Thank You’s. Such a Good thing to Do.😊❤

  2. Glad the Acela was enjoyable! I would like to recommend you take the Amtrak route north of NYC up through New England (north east coast) as well, it's a beautiful ride in autumn as the leaves change color 😄👍

  3. This is certainly not a Japanese shinkansen, but it is also a good speed On the other hand, if you need speed, then there are planes, and you get on the train and enjoy the views of America passing by the window. I liked the routes from Seattle to Chicago, from New Orleans to Los Angeles and from Portland to St. Louis

  4. I've only rode this to NYC – because of all the rail traffic and crossings etc., it only started going a wee bit faster than a normal local train once it got through Bridgeport, which is a very weird looking city. Never got to ride the fast part. I've tried several short-run Amtrak trains – the Downeaster (Boston – Portland, ME – very nice trip) and the Surfliner (LA to San Diego nice too) and the Capital Corridor (Sactown to Emeryville – not that nice). I'd probably leave my soul behind on the platform at the speed the Japanese trains go at.

  5. The thing about trains is they often take you through parts of the city that you wouldn't normally see. Although sometimes parts you wouldn't necessarily want to see.

  6. Kuga ! I took this Acela to DC on Jan 19; 2009, for Obama's inauguration. The whole train was one big party!!! Wow, those were the days! But it's great to see things looking better now— the stations, the service, and the Acela itself seemed clean! You are, by the way, the cool one with the orange juice. ✌🤟

  7. That train must have a dedicated track. Amtrak is always delayed by freight trains otherwise. You got your orange juice!!

  8. Hmm – for First Class on a modern train, the seating and the carriage looked dour and utilitarian, somewhat like the ghastly ‘hospital corridor ‘ of a first class carriage on a UK Azuma train. Soft overhead lighting, table lamps, wood or wood-feel panels, attractive seat fabric etc are clearly not important to Amtrack either.

  9. I've never found the Acela to be all that faster. Better to save your money and take the regular service.

  10. Just curious…did you go to the dining car 4 breakfast or was it delivered to your seat? I ride regular Amtrak and most have not had the dining car option since Covid

  11. I hope you were treated very well in my country, as you deserve! Thanks for sharing, as always.

  12. I’m sorry you didn’t get to see Moynihan Train Hall during the day, it’s quite beautiful. When I last went through there, the food court wasn’t finished yet, but it looked like it’d be great. And Penn Station’s Metropolitan Lounge is hands-down the best in the country: during the day there’s genuinely good hot food (panini!) which can be had for free … so long as you’ve booked a roomette or a first class ticket. It’s been a lo-o-o-o-ong time since I’ve lived there, but I’m proud to say my home city is still the best city in the WORLD! 🤗❤️🗽

  13. Great trip, ah you try Acela Express. Maybe it isn't faster than Shinkansen, but yeah like your mention in video, this is fastest in US and most premium one in corridor route. Can't wait for Bus trip back to NYC.

  14. i hope if usa focus on they economy they start to colaborate with japanese making fasta and comfort train like shinkansen in usa version even the price is expensive a little but its ok ,usa is rich and they can have it and it can solve the problem of using car and traffic jammed can be fix it
