Amagase Onsen (天ヶ瀬 温泉) | Amagase, Ōita, Japan | October 2023

Hello fellow ticket holders. Join us as we begin are first full day in Japan. In this video we visit Amagase Onsen (天ヶ瀬 温泉) a historic hot spring town in Hita, Ōita, Japan. During our short stay in this small town we visit Sakura Falls (桜滝ふれあい広場) a beautiful waterfall tucked away in a quiet serene park. Next, we walk down the main street of the town of Amagase to admire the buildings that currently stand abandoned, due to the flooding of 2020, before making our way to the pedestrian bridge to admire the beauty that is the Kusu River and the town that sites on the rivers edge. Finally, we make our way down to the rivers edge to soak in the open air onsens (hot springs) and stop at a Confectionery Store (菓舗 田代屋) for a treat before we make our way out of town for our next adventure.
