On my recent visit to Tokyo I discovered the beauty of Japan craftsmanship with a vision of latex passion that goes way beyond the wear and delves into the true fantasy world of Kurage Kid’O

I was very happy to travel to Kurage Kid’o and meet these talented artists of the latex world. They have the most exquisitely detailed latex and, rare in Tokyo, their own little boutique. A heaven of unlimited fantasy.
It was also a pleasure to meet Hiro Kondo and I was very lucky to be accompanied by JapaneseDomina Hibiki. The Tokyo subway system can be, shall we say, intimidating to foreigners.
Kurage Latex will be showcasing in Tokyo at Department H on May 4th. I have seen some of the up-coming designs and they are truly out of this world.
Please feel free to review my photos. I have posted many, many images from my recent trip to Japan. Nagoya, Kyoto, Tokyo, Osaka and Shizuoka were amazing places to behold. Some were rather quick visits, others more lengthy.
I feel that I can now better understand the amazing spirit of the Japanese people which, in my humble opinion, is somewhat a reflection of the Japan’s surrounding seas, majestic mountains, peaceful forests and hyperactive cities.
Unlike anything else in the world, there seems to be a true effervescence to Japanese lifestyle which truly shows their unique dynamic.
In essence, Japanese people have a most refined sense of art, play, pleasure, laughter and conversational skills which counterbalances their unique work ethics, efficiency and hierarchical customs and traditional sense of values.
In my many travels, I have never experienced the utmost balance of what would appear to be conflictual nature. Rather, Japanese people have created an amazing ethic of pleasure and work on a scale which will, I am most certain, never cease to amaze me.
Leaving me begging for more, I truly surrender my desire to the research of many more experiences that will allow more experiences to be treasured in the future.
