Hi Allison. A couple of updates for you. We are currently on Enchanted Princess, 5 days into the 26 day Mediterranean and TransAtlantic cruise. Food has been excellent and the level of service is fantastic and consistent with our previous 7 Princess cruises. Some have commented on the different forums that Princess food has gone downhill but we have had really excellent meals. We did 360 two nights ago and it was really fun and well done! The food and wine were excellent and ranged from steak, pasta and veggies to more exotic offerings. I will say there were a few items outside my comfort zone (like the octopus). There was plenty of food and the multimedia experience was coordinated to the food that was being served. Entertainment has been great. We have seen two production shows (always enjoy Spotlight Bar!) and tonight is a comedian. Pop-up entertainers are really good on this trip! One sad note is that Gigi's has been mostly empty and the servers are standing around looking a bit forlorn. The most busy I've seen it was 3 tables occupied. That was a favorite venue for us but Princess will need to re-think their pricing package on casual dining. Thanks for all the great information on your channel!

The Carnival Hub has worked great for me in the past. It did work better on my phone than iPad. This is my first experiencing the Princess Medallion and it sucks on my iPad but works decently on my iPhone. I am surprised that there isnβt the dinner booking and options that the Hub has.
I have dinner reservations booked already for a Discovery June, 2024 sailing. Will these transfer over into the new app?

If casual reservations are available they better not be until you are on board. The current reservations all but force you to use cash rather than OBC for specialty dining. Casual dining is one of the few places OBC had any remaining value.

I watch you most every day… we're fans of Princess (8 cruises in 18 months since our first ever cruise!), and enjoy the focus you give here. Β Well done.
I can't wait for a new app, but I don't want just cosmetic changes, new names for existing things etc…. it needs to improve across the board. It was truly awful up to 6-9 months ago, it has improved, now it's just pretty poor and flaky!! Data comes and goes; errors are still frequent, things disappear and re-appear, and above all, most every function has been so SLOWWWWW. It's clearly interfacing each time to slow legacy remote Princess/Carnival systems and just isn't user-friendly. I hope they address that in entirety. It needed to be thrown away and completely rewritten.
A couple of other comments. We just got off Sky, and I agree the Casual Dining was sparcely used. We didn't use the OceanNow ordering either, both because we didn't need it, and out of principle. The changes Princess made were not only il-judged, but unethical to let people buy something (Plus or Premier) that they subsequently strip of benefits, and then to make it worse, portray in adverts that these are new features. I don't expect to see the new app add booking for Casual Dining, because as the name says, one should turn up casually, when one wants!
I assume you get all this advance info from Princess as a registered Travel Agent… are these press-releases generally viewable?

We are doing a 22 day, 11 days each on a back to back from Sydney to the great barrier reef then to aukland, aft Balcony!!! On Celebrity. It was the only way we could cruise and see both NZ and the Great Barrier Reef.
Whatβs aggravating is the current app only allow for portrait viewing instead of landscape hope they change that.
Do we know if our data will carry over from the old app into the new app?

Just found out that as of June 20 ninth, you can't get both military & CC L stock option on board even if it's different people. So it's that sucks

It seems that Princess is moving to dynamic pricing, wherein price increases or decreases are determined by availability of a particular type of cabin on a particular cruise.
I think that you have the itinerary of the Discovery Princess reversed. It is going from Australia/New Zealand to LA. Needs to be back in US for 2026 Alaska season, I suppose.
Iβve done many cruises on RCCL and Carnival, but this is my first experience with Princess. So far my experience is that their web site is clumsy and glitchy and their telephone support is poor.
I find it shocking that regardless of the number of underhanded tactics that Princess takes against it's customers that people don't say enough is enough. The ships and the people working on them may be wonderful but the people in charge are despicable. Did anyone truly believe that Princess would undersell itself and raise prices for late bookings or not run specials for Black Friday? It's the cost of doing business and Princess must compete. I would like to sail on Princess someday but now is not the time.
We have friends that are currently on a 28 day around Australia and goes to Tazmania. Their first Princess cruise. Waiting to hear about tneir trip.

3. Call room service from cabin
4. Careful trusting new software
5. Meet Dining room leads in person before first dinner
6. Tip dining personnel
Caveat: Iβm a techno-idiot.
Weβre booked for December 1 on Coral Princess out of Brisbane for 3-day Seacation and then B2B also on Coral for 14-day to New Zealand.
Weβre waiting for our Medallions to arrive, and now Iβm fretting there will be unmitigated FUBAR if thatβs the day for the new app to start!

In regards to Princess (or any other) cruises going up. β¦. Or NOT, you mentioned the βtheyββ¦ I believe nowadays itβs all done βtechnicallyβ so say, if inside cabins get a huge demand/order, and a certain % are available, so therefore the least available prices will go up, where the balcony (say, more available). Their price will come down, even below OV

Hello Allison just disembarked the Royal Princess this morning smooth embarkation we collected our medallion at the Terminal I found it useless except for opening the stateroom door fully booked ship food was good hated the Horizion Court badly organized however we were only there for Lunch we have breakfast in our stateroom Royal is off to New Zealand at 4pm today not enough itineraries to the Islands.
