Trip to Batam Indonesia–Heading South Through 7 Islands and 6 Bridges
The Temple, The Resort, The EX-Refugee Camp
I had a 2-day travel with one of my friend on Batam Island and we drive from Batam Island all the way heading south through the 7 island and 6 bridges.
We first visited “Maha Vihara Duta Maitreya Monastery”, Then we drive to the 1st bridge: Tengku Fisabilillah Bridge, widely known as Barelang Bridge which is connected between Batam island and Tonton Island. We had a nice Seafood lunch at a popular restaurant just under the bridge.
Then we drove through the 2nd bridge (Narasinga Bridge), and 3rd bridge (Ali Haji Bridge) to a fishing point at south of Setokok Island. Then finally check-in at SBS resort at south of Rempang Island. It’s a nice and quiet resort.
The next day morning we continue drive to the south, to the EX-Refugee Camp of Vietnam. We feed monkeys and deer and visited several Temples.
At night, I went to a bar named: Port House near my hotel, intend to watch FIFA football match at the bar, but I got the game time wrong and finally have to give up.
My trip to Batam is not perfect though, but it is still a wonderful trip. I’ll definitely come back again.
