📍Koyasan es el centro del budismo shingon en Japón y Okunoin (aquí) es el cementerio más grande del país, con más de 200.000 tumbas. El cementerio se extiende a lo largo de más de 2 km, y el camino conduce finalmente al mausoleo de Kobo Daishi, el fundador de esta secta budista al que muchos se refieren también como el padre de la cultura japonesa. Allí descansa en eterna meditación.
Si se aloja en la montaña, hay decenas de templos que acogen a huéspedes. Incluso hay visitas nocturnas al cementerio que se realizan tanto en inglés como en japonés. Okunoin es mucho más espiritual que espeluznante, ¡así que recomiendo encarecidamente hacer la visita nocturna!

There he rests in eternal meditation.
If you stay on the mountain, there are dozens of temples that accommodate guests. There are even night tours of the cemetery conducted in both English and Japanese. Okunoin is much more spiritual than spooky, so I highly recommend doing the night tour!
