This is how much me and my partner spent for 8 days in Osaka and Kyoto. Remember that Tokyo is more expensive.
(Though still cheaper than London). So you need to add
15-20% on if you are going there.
✈️$1000 each. If you follow me you know I flew from South Korea so this is the London- South Korea flight PLUS the cheap $100 flight from Busan to Osaka (1.25hrs).
🏨 $915 total. Osaka. (5nights) $576. Kyoto (3nights)
$339. All bought on @bookingcom.
🚆 🚃 $50 each for the entire week. Travel in japan is such good value. This included the train from Osaka to Kyoto.
🍜 We ate ALOT. A mix of fancier places and Streetfood. I did a rough total and for the 8 days it was about $600
TOTAL. $300 each for 8 days eating on a trip is actually insane. You can eat SO WELL in Japan for such great value. For example the best ramen of my life in Osaka with gyoza and a small beer came to $9🫨.$37.50 a DAY Per

🎯 Activities. Japan has so much to see and do for free you are really spoilt. There are a few temple entries to pay and if you want to do excursions like Nintendo world or riding goal karts. I would budget $250pp but only if you want to incorporate Nintendo world as that expense is high.
