Cycling Japan: The Kii Peninsula and Japanese Alps // World Bicycle Touring Episode 44

We arrived by ferry in Wakayama and followed the Pacific Coast Cycling Road around the Kii Peninsula before heading inland across the Japanese Alps. This section had a wonderful mix of gorgeous coastal scenery, charming seaside towns, and impressive mountains. Much of this route was planned with minimal research (as usual) and we were left in awe of Japan’s natural beauty and the many historic sites to explore along the way.
