  1. Hey Kyde and Eric. Google is apparently also setting up a "tip jar"/donation button, so don't get too invested in Patreon 🙂

  2. You finally did it 🙂 not flatr but this might actually be better I remember you mentioned something about this a while ago.

Added my contribution I hope lots of others do the same even if it is only a dollar per video as it all helps.

New season of breaking bad being made I see so some tough decisions on what to watch again in the future haha!

  3. Will do! As soon as i get my first pay check! It is thanks to you guys that I Got ikspired to finally go to Japan, and your vidios always leave me whit a smile 🙂 thanks for all your great work

  4. Oh man I love you guys, I wish if I wasn't spending so much on school I could donate! But hopefully my views are enough!

  5. that be sweet  if one wants to donate for my Dawgs kemo that be SWEET. but I don't  ask for funds.

  6. Personally I'm more likely to do an occasional large one-off donation than something that's scheduled or timed to video postings… is there an option for that?

Of course I think about it from your end and part of the benefit is something like a sort-of fixed income that you can at least plan around, and getting a lump sum once a year or something makes it much harder to plan for.  So I realize it's not a big priority for you or the site to offer such a feature.  But I can wish.

  7. Now, flipping the script on what I just posted :)… is there an option for donating that's related to minutes of footage as opposed to video count?  In the right margin I see links reminding me of a bunch of your long 40-50+ minute videos… I like those as much as or more than your short-short ones.  Even your 20-minute 7-11 runs are more fun than the 3-5 minute quick post (which you actually don't do that often, I suppose).  I'd hate to see the incentives flip such that you're more motivated to do a 2-minute quick shot (even if daily!) than a longer one that's easier to savor.

  8. You should use donated/contribution money to visit places in Japan that requires ALOT of money. Something an averiage traveler can't really do. I'd totaly watch those videos, especially if they're in good quality showing your experience. Visiting a cheap McDonalds is fun, but visiting an really expensive place would be amazing. Just some ideas.
To be honest. I don't watch your videos as much as I used to because it seems to be the same thing happening over and over again. It would be nice to see more of your videos in the future. Good luck! There are videos where you go to other countries, but those videos does not intrest me at all. I'm only intrested in Japan.

  9. Hopefully I can see more of your vids because lately I haven't seen any except this one about patreon:)

  10. Hello!!! Love the vids and love you guys. Wish I had the balls and the means to do what you both did and move. I hope to contribute as soon as I can to the adventures.

  11. HEY!  Are you guys in Tokyo?  My wife and I are moving to Tokyo next month.  Let us know how we can help!

  12. I think a random "Eric Sized Bite" somewhere in this video would've helped sell even more people on Patreon…hehe. Somethin' bout that bite..lol. Big ole' shark jaw. j/j. Nah, but I can easily see myself donating. Keep it up guys.

  13. Good idea, contributions are way to complicated therefore it doesn't happen. And you're right why go to a website? Say it on youtube and go to Patreon directly. keep it simple as Einstein used to say and look at the results he achieved.

  14. I binge watched your Myanmar, China, India, U.A.E, and Japan travel vids; looking forward to watching the rest. I'll be making a donation to your account.
Hope there will be a Tibet, Mongolia, Russia, Okinawa, or Philippines travel blog soon.

  15. Hi guys! I think you should put your Patreon link in your 'about' section, because I wanted to check it out and had to scroll through your videos to find it. Just a suggestion. Keep up with the great videos! ~Gareth
