The Shimanami Kaido, also referred to as the Nishiseto Expressway, is a scenic route that links Japan’s main island to Shikoku, passing over six major islands in the Seto Inland Sea. This 70-kilometer road is well-known among cyclists, yet it also provides the opportunity to explore the broader regions of all the islands by car. Part 1 primarily focuses on Ikuchijima Island, which is one of the islands on the Hiroshima Prefecture side.
