🇰🇷 BROTHERS KOREAN BBQ:
✈️ CHECK OUT MY TRAVEL BLOG: https://davidsbeenhere.com/

With my visit to Los Angeles in January of 2021 coming to a close, I set out on one last food adventure before flying home. For this one, I linked back up with a good friend! Come with me as I enjoy all you can eat Korean BBQ with my boy Steve Cha, a.k.a. The Rockstar Eater!

Steve Cha is a fellow foodie and traveler who I’ve become great friends with. He’s also a pastor and an all-around great guy! For our Korean BBQ adventure, we met up at Brothers Korean BBQ in Koreatown.

👕 DAVID’S BEEN HERE MERCH: https://teespring.com/stores/davids-been-here

It’s a traditional-looking restaurant, and they sell top-quality meat. It’s one of the best Korean BBQ spots in Los Angeles! We’d be going with the Diamond tier, which costs about $75 per person!

We’d have brisket, ribeye, beef tartare, short ribs, and more. First, I tried some of the brisket dipping sauce, which had jalapenos in it. It’s sweet and vinegary. We had a lot of banchan, or sides, including japchae (sweet potato noodles), kimchi (spicy fermented cabbage), and more.

The kimchi is spicy and fermented! Then, we jumped on some soju, which is a vodka-like drink. It was really smooth! Next was pajeon, a type of leek pancake. I love savory Korean pancakes. They’re so versatile. Steve put a couple of pieces of it on the grill!

Then, we tried the yukhoe, which is raw beef. It’s a traditional dish with egg yolk mixed in. It’s cold and refreshing! Then, our raw BBQ meat arrived, including the beef brisket, finger meat, bottom sirloin, unmarinated and marinated short ribs, and ribeye steak!

They grilled the bottom sirloin with oyster mushrooms, onion, and pineapple. It smelled so good! While it cooked, I had some gim-muchim, or seasoned seaweed! It was a moist and refreshing palate cleanser.

Next was the galbi, or Korean short ribs. I loved it with the sauce and a bit of wasabi. The meat was grilled to perfection and had a nice char on it. Then, we tried the haemul-pajeon, a seafood and vegetable pancake I first tried during a cooking class in Seoul!

The haemul-pajeon was crispy on the outside but still fluffy on the inside. The shrimp was amazing, and the sauce made it really nice. Having the finger meat with the radish and ssamjang sauce was also fantastic! It added some spice!

The galbi-tang, or short rib soup, was very savory and soothing. I loved the broth, which also contained spring onions and jujubes. Digging into the meat was amazing. Because there was no salt and no sauces, I could enjoy the meat flavor for what it is. It was amazing!

Next, they grilled the ribeye steak. It was juicy, fatty, and medium rare. I loved how tender it was! I was loving the variety in this meal. There were so many flavors and textures. The non cap pieces of meat were also amazing!

The non-marinated shortrib. It was tender and juicy, but I had to add some ssamjang! Next was the marinated shortrib. We dunked it in the shortrib sauce, which added a nice sweetness! The meat has such a high quality!

Finally, we had the brisket, which blew my mind. We followed that with icy and spicy rice noodles with cucumber, pears, and eggs called naengmeyon. They’re freezing cold yet flavorful. Adding some meat took it to another level!

We had a spicy red version called bibim-naengmyeon that were really spicy! The pears added a sweet crispness! I liked this one better, but I was hitting a wall! What an incredible all you can eat Korean BBQ experience!

  1. You should take permission from customers eating at a restaurant before using their face in your video or you should simply blur it.

  2. If you go back to Korea David, you should go to the kimchi museum. When I went they were giving each visitor free kimchi at the end of your visit.

  3. Yummy…. Kbbq is love. I always have to drive to Atlanta to get good Korean food! Great description of the taste & textures, great close ups, and great company.

  4. In Queens , the place to go for Korean buffet barbecue is Picnic Garden. Its sooo good there, they also have a lot of other dishes like fried fish, vegetables, rice, Korean pancakes… the place is so stylish , lots of nice wooden sturdy seats with your own griller in front of you and with an exhaust thing on top of your individualized seats so that your clothes won't be smelling like barbecue when you finished. Before the pandemic , for lunch its $27 , then for dinner a much higher price.

  5. Please can you tell me the story behind why u wear premium League / champions league football shirts? Have seen in a few of ur videos. This one is a Spurs top. And me being a Londoner I’d just love to know.

  6. Love this Korean BBQ feast , love to see you trying other nations yummy food as well beside getting specialized in eating indians food all day long. Love the video ♥️🌺
