  1. Hello Daz, another very informative video. One thing, I would imagine that a number of retirees are on some form of medication. Do you know an approximate cost of an item of medication as bought from a pharmacy? Thanks.

  2. Fairly accurate pricing. I know you always advice never to buy, but the new Riviera Malibu development on Soi 5 Pratamnak will test that😂

  3. Agree renting in Thai also from have seeing many YouTubers posting rentals from $350 to 500 @ Highrise sructures. Besides that Some European countries excluded of Visa requirements for Phi-Tahi etc..That mean only Passport 30 days to 90 days visas and 1 Year for retiree not sure the cost $ I thing no headaches by getting extensions. I was suprized this not apply for Usa citizens.Anyway most things can work out for everyone. I believe a budget above $1000 between $ 2500 its much better (for a rain days:) I love to cook for my self and has nothing to do @ all saving money. I know fresh Tuna, Sword fish , Calamares, etc..cost a fraction $ in both Phil-Tahi than in Usa. $ 23 1 lb yellow fin tuna:) I thought marriages of over 60's 70's not for me I would rather have a partnership for both to enjoy what life offers. The rest are details still is always replacements! Great Vid my friend:)

  4. That's a good pricing guide. thanks Daz…. may need to add a few more beers for myself though 😉

  5. Be waiting 4 dat company costs spreadsheet !! Get it out right away or your FIRED !!!!! Ha ha !!!

  6. THAILAND gets very expensive And will be more,
as you come from your richest expensively countries, compere the prices with them. Without understanding of what you do, or trying to feel Rich, you spoil the locals and you raze the prices.
The prices now , are as a lot of European countries.
The solution is Stop giving what they ask you.
    Thailand is East,
    Make bargain to anything.

  7. To respect to Daz's informational video, I'll add a couple personal experience information:
First, I applied for my OA retirement visa from my own country, Canada and it wasn't that hard. I fallowed up the list of the requirements which they asked for with the cost of $280 Canadian dollar. One of the requirements is a bank statement with balance of (about) $32000 Canadian dollar with no timeline history.
Second, I know some Thai insurance companies which would give a fake document for $100 to apply for this type of visa in case you would like to self insured yourself and skip the expensive health insurance cost, but I do not recommend this myself. If you ask around, they are some guys will give you the information. The immigration agents also know these companies.
At the end, Thailand is a country you can live on
any budgets that you come with. Good luck.

  8. Pattaya is NOW an Indian beach resort – they bought everything- just like Koreans now own Angeles city – don’t be fooled INFLATION is worldwide and certainly effecting Asia. Also depends on your national currency – Baht fairly stable but that can change overnight.

  9. Fantastic info,, just subscribed !!. Currently living in the Philippines but but going to Jomtien next month to see some visa agents and compare the cost of living in Thailand compared to the Philippines ..🍻

  10. You don't ever take into account that a big percentage of expats own a condo/house. A one off cost of $30k US and no rent to pay ever.
Its not hard to do your own visa, park the 800k in the bank and forget about it, its there for an emergency, and you save 15-20k a year.
