Join us at Japan Matsuri 2023 – London’s largest traditional Japanese festival – for a day filled with Japanese culture, Japanese food and Japanese snacks, in Trafalgar Square, London!
We really enjoyed our day at Japan Matsuri – it felt just like being back in Japan again (minus the karaoke). This was a great day out in London, so this vlog is perfect for those who love all things Japan.
With lots of brilliant cultural performances including Aikido, Awa Odori – traditional Japanese dancing, lots of singing and of course lots of delicious Japanese food.
We ate Takoyaki, Inari and Karage Curry – Oishii!
We’d highly recommend visiting next year – don’t miss this opportunity to experience the essence of Japan right in the heart of London.

Nobody has ever worn the Japanese garms so well!
4 takoyaki for £5 is criminal. Next time you’re in Japan be sure to get to Nebuta matsuri, it’s incredible.
A sad soulless excuse for a Matsuri celebration. I bet so many Japanese folks were left there scratching their heads, wondering what this oddball mob of people were supposed to be doing. I'm glad you two made the most of your excursion though. I'd have done the same just out of sheer enthusiasm but would have left in a baffled, underwhelmed state of mind. Where were the charming stalls and the organised areas? For a wonderful summer fair with real heart, a sense of community and tradition (or a celebratory market of any kind) folks really need to just pack a bag and head over to Japan itself– you did a genuinely terrific job of inspiring us in that regard. What we get in the West is mostly just corporate advertising and tourism PR. That's not a real Japanese festival by any stretch. I'm sure you felt a little of what I grumbled about here. Keep up the great work with your channel. 🗾🎎🛫🍜
My cheeks are hurting from smiling too much 😂 Miss you both! So excited for when you come down. Some of the edits had me laughing like with the free tofu 😛 love the little vegan shoutout 😉
