I’ve been fascinated with Chernobyl since the moment I read about it in history class over 10 years ago. A few months ago I had the opportunity to go explore it after a big snowfall. The stories we heard were both heartbreaking and inspiring. So excited to finally be able to share.

We were all tested for Covid multiple times before filming this episode and no one has showed any symptoms in the months following this trip.

    As you can see, we decided to not add any sponsors or plugs on this story so we could focus on the story-telling and visual experience. But making a video of this complexity without sponsor is definitely not easy, the support from Seek Discomfort is largely how we're able to create stories like this one.     There is another nuclear power plant besides Chernobyl that also exploded called the Three Mile, Island, in USA

    I am not saying I would ever do this because well im not retarded and would like my sperm to produce children that can walk a straight line and not drool slamming into walls the whole time. But so many others have been to this place its not even special anymore you are one of many who will produce children that walk sideways like a crab, good job. Impress us and go hug the elephants foot or something then we will call you a hero.

    It’s like we back to soviet era….everything was at it place …I don’t wanted to cry but it felt so heavy inside….I can still feel the words of grandma and her love towards youngsters…..its deep and empty feeling, hard to describe….

    Most of the remaining radioactivity in Chernobyl is from Cesium and Strontium. Halving time is ca 30 years, so radioactivity will be down a factor of 1000 in 300 years and a million in 600 years.

    Ukrainian here, When my dad was young he was a radiation firefighter in ukraine. When the disaster happened, he was on leave but the rest of his team responded to the crisis. They all passed away. That timing is the reason he survived and i can write this today.
