  1. Seriously, people in the US need to be more respectful to elders.

  2. Okinawa's lifestyle is the most similar to America among Japanese prefectures. Extremely suburbanized, no one uses public transit as they have a huge car culture; their largest city (Naha) doesn't have a metro as it's designed for the car. The island doesn't even have a railway. On top of that the diet is also converging with the American one, fast food is more popular than on the Japanese mainland.

  3. Bro, my Japanese gf is a few years older than I am and we're in our 30's but she looks like she's in her mid 20's. Even when she came to visit me in America, the workers at the theater still asked for her ID 😂 A lot of it is the diet they eat, compared to us Americans. Now that I live in Japan, healthy food is easier to come by, whereas back home it cost like $6 bucks for a plain salad.

  4. Not giving a shit about anyone except themselves. No thanks to living that long. Other than that They have no purpose.

  5. I've noticed everytime David finish talking he looks down, probably at his notes or his computer. Than he talks again and looks back down. And Andrew doesn't look like he looks at anything, at least it's not noticeable. 😂😂😂

  6. Not just Japanese, but Japanese Americans, too. Some into their nineties now. They may live a long time, but Dimensia eventually catches up with everyone. I don't want to live that long and have bad short term memory.

  7. Quality of food over there is better. They walk/bike to get groceries instead of driving 3 minutes to their nearest supermarket. Some of their fast food are freshly homemade, packaged and to be sold that day unlike here where they're filled with grease or the microwaveables are filled with preservatives and other additives. Walking down and up the steps from the substations help burn calories instead of commuting and sitting in traffic for an hour only to get work and sit again for more hours.

  8. People need to educate themselves. According to a 2019 World Health Organization survey, Japan's suicide rate is 15.3 per 100k people. At 16.1, the USA actually had a higher suicide rate. Of course, WHO needs to conduct another survey to see how the pandemic may have affected suicide rates. Among Asian countries, South Korea had the highest suicide rate at 28.6 per 100k people. Using suicide rates to tarnish Japan is a false argument. Japan will continue to enjoy one of the highest longevity rates because their people live sensibly.

  9. Diet is the primary contributing factor. Most of the Japanese diet is seafood and they don't eat the same proportion of industrialized crap that Westerners do. The Mediterranean diet achieves similar effects; high fat, moderate protein, low carb.. The genetics argument holds less weight because you could be blessed with the best genes in the world but still destroy your health with bad lifestyle choices. Although statistically, shorter folks tend to live longer than those who are taller and Japanese people tend to be shorter in stature.

  10. I would like to try your Smala but why oil? It's so high in calories. Can you guys come up with a less oil, lower calorie Smala sauce or paste?
