Today, I take another nostalgic and historic memory lane road trip. In this episode, I visit the famous gravesites of the members of the famous HOLLYWOOD RAT PACK.

The primary members included Humphry Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr, Joey Bishop and Peter Lawford.

Thanks for joining me on my travels on yet another trip to the past, down memory lane.

  1. Sammy Davis Jr was in a act with his dad but also his uncle. It was a 3 some. Wondering if his uncle is buried in the family area.
Just googled his uncle and he is buried at forest yard in California. His name was Will Misting ( not sure of the last name spelling.)

  2. Enjoyed the video. Great entertainers that passed away to soon, leaving us with great music. My favorite Frank Sinatra song is "My Way.".

  3. Great tour. My fave Sammy Davis song- Candy Man. Sam Cook, You Send Me. My fave Bogart film- African Queen. Frank Sinatra's signature song to me was new York, New York. The only one who can sing it as well is Liza (you know who,) Judy garland's kid. Sorry I can't remember the spelling.

  4. (1). To the right of Sammy Sr. is Will Mastin. They wanted the Will Mastin Trio (Jr, Sr, Will) buried together. (2) The IRS had Sammy disinterred to recover expensive jewelry. (3) The original Rat Pack met at Chasen's or Romanoff's restaurants, not at Bogart's house.

  5. Peter Lawford was cremated and his ashes were scattered in the Pacific ocean.
My favorite song of Sammy Davis Jr. Is The Candyman, Mr. Bojangles. Dean Martin Everybody loves somebody sometimes, Houston, Love Frank Sinatra doing New York, New York. My aunt Rose told me when I was at her home watching Maltese Falcon and she told me she died of throat cancer.

  6. You can go to any graveside any time multiple times we never get tired of them, and you always give out very accurate information and always can come up with something new not told in previous visits. So we all learn something new. Never boring. They all had a very busy life and there is always new information to be had

  7. Actor Victor McLaglen memorably co-starred as "Will Danaher" in "The Quiet Man" w/John Wayne, Maureen O'Hara, Barry Fitzgerald, Ward Bond, etc.

  8. I attend church with some of Sam Cooke’s relatives here in Mississippi and a couple live on the street I live on😊

  9. Don't forget that when his wife found out how broke he was when he died she had him exhumed and retrieved the jewelry he was buried with. RIP Sammy.

  10. I grew With Sam Cooke and I never knew he was shot and killed in the 1960's and he was so talented in my opinion and my favorite song by him is You send me and it's just a honor to die hard fan of his music and I've been a fan of Sam Cooke's for long time since I started listening to him for fun back in the day when his music was playing on the radio and I just wanted to know who shot him and my favorite song by Frank Sinatra was my way and I loved the lyrics of the song itself by the way

  11. I understand you need a special key to get into the garden where Sammy is buried, yes? I tried to visit there a few times only to find the door locked with a sign saying a special key was needed. Curious as to how you got in, thanks for the video.

  20. Jim Henson died on the same day as Sammy Davis. I remember coming from work when I heard that they both died that day.
