Hi Kristine, I am not sure I received your Spain cost of living guide and budget template from the link.
I lived in Madrid from 2018-2020 on 1300 euros a month because I was able to find a place for 540 euros a month in a great neighborhood. I know that is very rare to find. Other places my friends lived were 800-1200 euros monthly. I think 2000 euros a month is more realistic. I was just every lucky to find my place and an owner who wanted to offer reasonable rent for English teachers.
Love your channel. Only complaint is it would be nice to be consistent with US dollar subtitles for those of us that are Euro challenged βΊ

So can an American move to Spain easily?
Living in small towns (in the south), you can get down to $1.200,-/month, all inclusive. This is of course no hotel, but "long term" rented apartment. – Been there 1.5 years. If you have a caravan, you can rent small plots on the country side for down to 200,- plus utilities, expat neighborhood.

I once went on a vacation with my family to Spain and i was really amazed with the structures i saw, The unmentioned factor is that everyone works hard. They have had an unbelievable work ethic. The pioneer generation were given a good opportunity by an intelligent government, but they worked hard to improve themselves. Another unmentioned thing is the significant economic pressure on working families.
