Day 6 of our exploration of Hokkaido (北海道) , Japan’s northern gem, was a testament to the unpredictability and beauty of travel. We began at Yamamoto Orchard (ニトリ観光果樹園 – 旧 余市山本観光果樹園), where an off-season visit unexpectedly transformed into a lesson in generosity.
Yoichi Winery (余市葡萄酒醸造所) brought another layer to our journey. It emphasized the importance of checking opening dates, as we discovered it was closed on our visit day.
At Nikka Whisky Yoichi Distillery (余市蒸溜所), we delved into the world of whisky culture, with a responsible reminder not to drink and drive.
Our ascent to Hiyoriyama Lighthouse (日和山灯台) unveiled breathtaking vistas and an unexpected battle with strong winds, symbolizing the triumph of exploration.
A detour to Otaru Nishin Goten (鰊御殿) provided insight into making choices while traveling, as we opted out due to entrance fees.
Wing Bay Otaru (ウイングベイ小樽) offered moments of retail therapy and reflection, rounding out our day.
Throughout our journey, we shared practical travel insights, including checking opening dates and the best time for fruit-picking in Hokkaido (北海道). Our emphasis on capturing memories through photography resonated with the essence of exploration.
