In this video, we’re taking on Singapore’s hottest chicken, Level 8 spicy! My local friends and I put this dish to the test to see how spicy it really is, and see if we can stomach the burn!
D’Penyetz is famous for their Smashed Chicken (Ayam Penyet) with spicy sambal. Try some of their other Indonesian dishes as well. So good!

Oh gosh Shinichi, this was an incredible video, and so awesome that you have these friends from Singapore that are so sweet. Everything looked so yummy and very tasty, and the spices looked so good, not overly spicey just great flavors. I love when you share these videos of you trying delicious foods. All of this food made me hungry and wanting some great food. Thanks so much again for this wonderful video. Have a wonderful and blessed time here, sending love and hugs, bye! 🥰😍😘🤗👋🙏🌺🌸💜💜💜
NOoooooooo DONT eat that Lvl 8 sauce !!!!!😮
Ahhh! Didn't know you were in Singapore haha
Hey Shinichi! Your friends are so cute and energetic.😆 And I was shocked you had never had tilapia. I just assumed since Japanese eat a lot of seafood that you would have had it. I love tilapia and eat it all the time. I'm glad you enjoyed it.😊
"I'm dying, but it's not too bad." The chilliheads' credo~. You all looked like you had such a good time enjoying this delicious-looking meal!
Great video! You know, Shinicihi, I admire you. Despite the challenges you've opened up to us about, you go out, live life, and create memories. As I watched you share this meal with your vivacious friends, I was impressed by how at ease you appeared and how comfortable and happy your presence made them. You are the best sort of friend: kind, affable, interested, supportive, and funny. I'm glad you all enjoyed the food, the spice, the fun, and the companionship. 💜
I might be oversimplifiing things. But spices are fresh so it's not just ow hot, but tasty hot?
Love sweet 🌶 🌶 🌶 not hot hot burn let's be honest it's crap …
I hope your ok Shinichi, it's not easy to consume when you don't eat hot chilli on a daily basis.
Thank you to our Singaporean friends for introducing Indonesian food to Shinichi! 🙏 I don’t know about other places, but where I come from people don’t add lemongrass to gado-gado’s peanut sauce. The usual ingredients include tamarind, Indonesian bay leaf, and makrut lime leaf. And the rice cake that you thought was a piece of potato is called lontong in Indonesian (it might mean something else in Malay).
That was a good introduction to Indonesian sambals, but they are very Javanese-centered. There’s a myriad of other sambals all across Indonesia with different flavor profiles. Hope you’ll be able to try them for yourself in Indonesia, Shinichi. Let me know if you ever need a local posse and don’t forget to bring Satoshi-san along! Cheers!
The two singaporeans were cringy as f**k
Much love to Sinichi and to Vincent and Sugar ❤ 😮 they're sooooooo cute ❤
I have a question about sharing meals or dishes in japan. I understand sharing one meal is not acceptable in many places. But it's expected to share dishes in an izakaya. But what about a yaki place? Is it okay to share dishes there? Or order one set of meat and share? Or order one bigger set of meat and one smaller set of something else and share?
It seems that in korean barbeque houses you are expected to share meats. How does it work in japanese grill houses? Thank you. Confused by sharing etiquette in Japan.
Japanese Spicy is already so much more spicy then European Spicy so I believe it must be really good ^^
