For the 2nd leg of our Kyushu trip, let me take you to the scenes of a Ghibli movie… from the mountains, to the lakes, and straight to the shops! My sister & I went to Yufuin Floral Village and explored this quaint replica of a village in Cotswold, England. But to the innate Ghibli fan in me, I was ecstatic to see Ghibli shops and merch inside…ahh heaven! A few hundred meters from the Ghibli village is Lake Kinrin, a famous tourist spot in Yufuin. The lake is beautiful and (supposedly) peaceful, but be ready for the crowds!
