  1. That would be the equivalent flat in London, which you'd be charged a fortune for.

  2. Interesting video. Many apartments that I visited had no running water. They were built during the soviet period. They had to go down to the well and carry water up to their overhead box toilets with a chain. The interior smell of urine in the building was overwhelming. Most windows were covered with wood because they had to wait for the govt to replace them which could take years.

  3. Terrific keep on with your dream. L0ove the Apartment. Really a lot of Flat for 700 Dollars. In Dublin Ireland the price would be double .

  4. People laughed at the old Soviet Apartment blocs but they were built to last. Property speculation never really took off in Russia, basically because people have too much sense to go along with it.

  5. Show apartments in the Russian outback. Or somewhere in Vorkuta or Buryatia.

  6. Russian apartment buildings turn on the heat for the whole place
    Or not
    Depending on the weather

  7. Wow, I've been reading some of the other posts & I'm surprised. I felt a sense of dread seeing the building then when you went inside I wasn't surprised. It seemed for utilitarian – what I would expect in Russia. Maybe it's because it's wintertime but I saw nothing decorative, even the Christmas decorations seemed blah & depressing. The apartment itself is not somewhere I would feel comfortable. I wouldn't like it at all. It felt like public housing in the U.S. though I suppose the living conditions are better. No offense to anyone but this is how I felt. I imagine there are different places in Russia, maybe more expensive, but nicer. Even the homes I could see from the window, some seem large but, again, very blah – at least from the outside. It's a good thing I never planned to live in Russia.

  8. Read a few comments. Why are ppl, at least Americans, not remarking about the incredibly low rental price? 2022-2023. US comparison would be double the cost, and rarely includes wifi, partially furnished (of similar quality unless possibly a sublet) ), upgraded appliances and in a comparable area: commute to nearby city, nearby stores, short walk to ‘downtown.’ No ATM/bank mentioned or dr offices. Only major ‘unknown’ is safety, a major issue in US, esp. in apt complexes. Guess the question to ask is what is an average local salary. Oh, and curious about the price & availability of those gorgeous ‘typical’ houses we saw from the balcony.

  9. Its pretty nice, would not expect that. Price is okay. But i was thinking russia is cheaper but i was wrong. Cant compare it to my country the netherlands, because of the size. It is a huge space, but not very logical in my opinion. But i think something similair would cost at least 1500 euros a month.

  10. The fear of the number 13 went way back to the knights Templar. There was a bunch of them killed on the 13th of Friday. So from old lore it's just a superstition.

  11. Today the Ruble collapsed and it's now about 100 to 1 USD ! — Didn't really like the place – seems like poor efficient use of the space for my liking. Not a fan of their 'style' at all either. — But if Russian's like it (?) isn't that what really counts ?

  12. It looked like the second enterance door was locked with a cord. What happens if a fire? No shutting of the door! Don’t they use fire magnets on the doors to enable automatic closesure when the fire alarm goes off? What is the safety level in Moscow?

  13. Coming off like an idiot saying what is far more a lucky number then anything aka 13 all the time

But seriously damn that is a nice AF apartment. That shits all over american apartments Ive ever seen ESPECIALLY PARTICULARLY for that price
