  1. Hi I been following your videos if you come to Malaysia one of you go to get the table first so you own end up waiting for your foods standing for long time especially at the hawker center

  2. The pink bits in your Penang laksa is 'bunga kantan" or touch ginger. It's a must in Penang Laksa

  3. Wow, looks like Karolina is hooked on Kopi C Kosong, and never leave your chopsticks sticking out on your food when in Asia. It resembles joss sticks in an urn!πŸ˜…πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

  4. The food looks lovely out there but is they any food your both missing and crave from back home.

  5. Line Clear is very famous for it's nasi kandar in Penang. The bean sprouts are fried with tofu and tumeric which makes it yellow.

  6. I just came back from the Georgetown Festival. Hope you guys got the chance to experience it too.

  7. Uhh i already miss Padang Kota, the rojak place you had. After ate all the good food there and then you can walk along the sea side enjoying the breeze ❀

  8. Great to see you guys enjoying Penang like a local! When a Malaysian goes to Penang for holiday, 90% of the itinerary is eating. From breakfast, brunch, lunch, dessert, dinner, supper πŸ˜€.

Just like any other meals such as pizza and burgers, there are authentic versions and there are less authentic or budget or over the top versions of cendol, nasi kandar etc. The simple shaved ice and soupy cendol is the original and best version. And penang nasi kandar is the benchmark and most original because of its fresh ingredients, authentic and flavorful curries/spices, variety of choices. Northern states of Malaysia have more authentic nasi kandars because of Indian muslims who settled down there many generations ago. But there are many indian or mamak restaurants in KL and all over Malaysia who are actually just selling rice with simple curries and calling them nasi kandar. This is a travesty to me πŸ˜…

  9. I'm Malaysian and no matter where I go I will still miss my country's foods.Because nothing else can beat them.

  10. your $50 budget in singapore video is actually featured in few of the very popular online media platform in Singapore (Mothership and AsiaOne). So alot of Singaporean actually went to check out your youtube videos (me included) 😁

  11. Well, that’s crazy people recognize you on the streets 😬 Great video πŸ₯’πŸ€€πŸŽ‰

  14. Thanks so much for our amazing clips, it has added to the excitement for our trip.
We too are going to KL, Penang and Ipoh this Thursday.
My daughter is a huge K Pop fan and loves everything Korean,
Is that shop where you got the Berry 100plus in Penang Road ?

When you get to Langkawi, I can highly recommend Bella Restaurant, Pantai Cenang and also a visit to the Aquarium.
Unfortunately our favourite place Thirstday has closed.
    Thanks Kath

  15. The ROJAK has Cuttlefish, yah that's SEAFOOD in it, well you can say it is desert but with lots of fruits, veg and seafood,
ALL IN ONE. hahahahahaha you don't like seafood but the sauce is PRAWN PASTE with Soy Sauce and caramel thin dark sauce.

  16. Hokkien Mee in Penang is Prawn Noodles, in all other states we call it Har Mee. Hokkien Mee in all other states is Fried Thick Noodles, in Penang its called Tai Lok Mee.

  17. Tip for the audience: don't watch Carolina&Jay's videos if u hungry πŸ₯² love all that food and seeing you exploring Asia ❀

  18. RM11.50 is a very reasonable price for nasi kandar. The cendol looks delicious and very original with coconut milk.. Now some street vendors are using condensed milk to replace coconut milk. 😒.

  19. Bro, that’s not line clear nasi Kandar, it’s beside. Hihi. But I’m sure it tasted good too. Line clear been there for ages. We are looking forward for our Penang trip soon. πŸ˜πŸ’ƒ. In Kl, ABC food corner nasi Kandar is good too. That’s the only place we satisfy our cravings.
And that’s not the original Penang road cendol, that’s the branch. The original one is opposite the police station.

  20. Rm11.50 for nasi beriani ayam, telur, sayur taugeh, ocra, plus teh ais is very2 cheap and affordable

  21. Not sure if you have tried the ABC. Air batu campur. Its a local icy dessert consisting of shaved ice and mixed with red beans, corn etc. Its great!πŸ‘
