The Kanto Region is located in the central part of Honshu Island, with Tokyo as a key base of this area. It comprises five prefectures: Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Saitama, and Chiba. The west and north sides of the region are mountainous, while the main part is the Kanto Plain, which is one of the widest plains in Japan. This area is huge but easily accessible by trains and buses from central Tokyo. To cover well-known places, you will need at least several days to a week.
