The first snowfall of 2021arrived in NYC — January 26th, 2021. Let’s enjoy a Walk under the Snow. FYI — if you want to see the moment it started snowing for real go 15:00. We walk from Penn Station to Herald Square (34th street) and then Broadway, Times Square & West 42n Street. Plus, we stop by the new Art Installation — Prismatica (giants prisms.) During the video, you will discover some fun-facts & anecdotes while listening to the sounds of NYC 🇺🇸 (see available captions for text in Foreign Languages 🌎)

Hey Guys!

The first snowfall of 2021 has arrived in NYC. It’s wasn’t a big storm, but it was fun for 20 minutes. It started with Snow Pellets (round white & opaque ice particles that fall from a cloud,) some iced-rain and we had about 20 minutes of big snowflakes which you can see in the second half of the video (from the 15:00 mark) as we walk along Broadway to see the Art Installation Prismatica, Times Square South, and West 42nd Street.

PRISMATICA
The new art installation in the Garment District will be available until January 30th, 2021, and was made possible in collaboration with the Québec Government Office in NYC. The installation is comprised of 25 6-foot-tall pivoting prisms reflecting the colors of the rainbow — kinda like giant kaleidoscopes! Make sure to spin them around for a full-on show of reflections, lights, and musical sounds! Located on Broadway between 39th and 40th Streets

Turn the volume up and you will hear the sounds of New York City on a late afternoon.

WALK FOR CHARITY
Something NEW to start off this new year — 2021 while helping those less fortunate and in need. I recently discovered a really nice APP called “Charity Miles” that allows me to track my walks and use each mile I walk to raise $1 for a charity of my choice. For now, I selected Feeding America an organization that now more than ever is in need of our help to provide food for those that cannot afford it. How does it work? Every mile I walk is counted toward a collective pool (these are all the app-users that like me have elected this same charity organization) and at the end of each fiscal quarter, Charity Miles will use the corporate sponsors they receive to submit the corresponding donation to the charity. Plus, friends, family, and followers have the ability to pledge extra support for each mile I walk starting at $0.5 cent per mile. If you want to help and pledge your support, you can find more info on the Current Cycle here — http://pledge.charitymiles.org/pages/e3c4d4c6-e4a0-4044-9121-ad0eebb4d423

Each Pledge Cycle lasts about 1 month.
Disclaimers — I’m NOT affiliated (personally nor professionally) with Charity Miles nor to the Non-profit charity, I support. The money doesn’t go to me 🙂 — You will be supporting the charity directly.
